Terra Invicta Early Access

Terra Invicta is now available in Early Access for Windows on GOG.com* and on Steam, carrying a 10% launch discount for the next week. If you're curious, the Latin title roughly translates to wristwatch the size of a planet. Terra Invicta is actually a grand strategy game from Hooded Horse about dealing with a potential threat from outer space. Here's a Release Trailer and here's more:
An extraterrestrial probe is detected approaching Earth. Unknown to humanity, an alien force has arrived in the far reaches of the icy Kuiper Belt and has begun mining a dwarf planet to prepare for an invasion.

With Earth’s nations unable to unite to address the alien arrival, transnational groups of like-minded political, military, and scientific leaders develop covert channels to coordinate a response. With the aliens' motives uncertain, factions emerge, driven by hope, fear, or greed.

In Person E3 in June

Looking to get the E3 Expo back to an in-person event following its disruption due to the pandemic, the ESA announces details about E3 2023. This will return to Los Angeles as a physical gathering running from June 13-16, 2023. Over the years there have been many attempts to redefine the boundaries of where the consumer parts of E3 end and the trade parts begin, and that grand tradition continues this year. Word is this time around, the show will involve separate consumer and industry days:
E3, the legendary gaming industry event, returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) for a four-day expo from Tuesday, June 13 through Friday, June 16, 2023 and will feature separate industry and consumer days and spaces. Additionally, E3 will support and uplift partnered digital events taking place starting June 11 and running throughout the show.

E3 Business Days will take place Tuesday, June 13 to Thursday, June 15, reserved exclusively for registered industry personnel to network in-person, hold professional meetings, and connect with licensors and distributors. Amidst dedicated, industry-only halls and spaces, media can go hands-on with upcoming games showcased by developers and publishers from around the world.

E3 Gamer Days will take place Thursday, June 15 and Friday, June 16 in a different hall than the industry area, inviting consumers to go hands-on with the future of gaming and connect with developers, content creators, media personalities, and more. A dedicated theater of content, open to ticket holders, will run during these days and offer deep-dive looks at highly anticipated titles.

The Spirit and the Mouse Released

The Spirit and the Mouse is now available for Windows and macOS on the Epic Games Store, GOG.com*, and Steam, as well as for Switch, offering a narrative adventure where you play as a mouse. Here's a Launch Trailer with a look at gameplay. For Ender's Game fans, there's no indication that this includes any homicidal Easter eggs. Sorry. Here's word on this chance to roam the roads as a rodent:
The Spirit and the Mouse is a narrative adventure game about doing selfless acts of kindness for those in need. Lumion the Spirit Guardian has found himself trapped on the mortal plane, and the only being able to help return him to the sky is Lila, a tiny mouse with a big heart. In order to restore light to the people of Sainte-et-Claire, our little rodent protagonist must wrangle mischievous spirits called Kibblins. By offering support to her community, Lila just might be able to restore Lumion’s power and bring joy to the people of this quaint French village.

The Spirit and the Mouse is a low-stress experience with lush environments and a soothing piano-driven soundtrack. This debut title by Montreal developer Alblune is sure to charm audiences of all ages with its heartwarming narrative, secrets to discover across Sainte-et-Claire, and a dedicated squeak button.
