Stuntfest - World Tour Playtest

A playtest is now underway for Stuntfest - World Tour, a racing/extreme sports game that will reward you for getting in touch with your inner jackass. You can see the game in action in the yesterday's new Summer of Stunts Trailer. If you are interested in taking part in testing, you can request access on Steam. Bear in mind the following caveat: "Keep in mind that the Summer of Stunts build is a very early version of Stuntfest, which likely won't reflect the final product." Here's more on the game:
Stuntfest – World Tour is the sweet adrenaline-kicking mix between racing and extreme sports with an unique aimed ejection mechanism. 18 players compete against each other in an elimination-based Stuntshow through various nerve-wrecking game modes. The goal? To shine on stage and become the winner of the festival.

Characters turn into living projectiles, ejected out of the vehicles and catapulted hundreds of meters through the air. The player maintains control when maneuvering their character while hurtling over vast distances and after crashing through unpredictable obstacles. Up in the air, the player can take advantage of quirky gadgets to reach secret shortcuts and turn the tables at the last second. And the best part: Recover after a high jump and dive back into the next vehicle on the road!

AEW: Fight Forever Announced

AEW: Fight Forever is one more title unveiled at yesterday's THQ Nordic Digital Showcase. This is a nostalgic wrestling game in the works at Japanese developer YUKE'S. The project has a Showcase Trailer mixing live-action and gameplay, as well as a Steam Listing, which says this is "coming soon." More details are expected later this month at gamescom. Here's a description:
Developed by YUKE’s Co, Ltd., creators of numerous, multi-million unit selling wrestling games, AEW: Fight Forever combines that nostalgic arcade-wrestler feel with innovative All Elite Wrestling finishers and tandem offensive moves. All Elite Wrestling is currently taking TNT and TBS networks by storm every week with their Rampage and Dynamite shows, featuring some of the biggest legends to enter the ring plus a stable of brand new, high-flying, AEW talent. AEW: Fight Forever brings the best of the best from that talent roster together in one game! Online co-op wrestling is going completely next level in Fight Forever with Tag Team matches that feature sequences of team maneuvers performed with simple commands. A deep career mode, wrestler customization, signature AEW arenas, and more match types than you can count, including some good ol’ fashioned, unsanctioned fun, all await!

Out of the Blue

I never imagined our weekly trip to the farm to pick up our CSA share would prove so entertaining. On the other hand, we still don't get out much these days, so maybe my bar is particularly low. Yesterday we were out in the fields picking our share of cherry tomatoes when we happened upon a chicken. And then another... and another. You can see where this is going. We got to the end of the row of plants, and found it adjacent to a chicken coop. And to go along with our newfound appreciation of the literal meaning of terms like low-hanging fruit and easy pickings, yesterday we got to experience chickens who had flown the coop. Or at least squeezed through the fence. Dozens and dozens of them had done so, leaving at least as many outside as inside. The weird thing was how they flocked to me when I went over to see what was what. Weird to me, at least. I don't have a lot of chicken experience to fall back on. Before I knew it I was surrounded by hens like some mystical poultry god (or at least a rooster). So I led them all back towards the coop as best I could and then ditched them by striding away faster than they could follow. We let the staff know and apparently help was dispatched. Hopefully everyone was recovered safely and the fence was repaired before the hawks found out what was going on.
