Subset Games tweets the news that Into the Breach: Advanced Edition will be released on July 19th (thanks PC Gamer via Neutronbeam). This will come to the Windows and macOS edition of the strategy game on Steam as a free update for all owners of the original (which is currently on sale). This will also mark the game's mobile debut, as it will come to iOS and Android for all Netflix subscribers. A physical version for Switch will also follow in October. The Subset Games Website has the details and a trailer. This post on Steam has an overview:
We are excited to announce the free Advanced Edition update for Into the Breach, coming out on July 19th! Nearly every aspect of the game will be expanded with new content, including:

  • New Mechs and Weapons: Five new mech squads and nearly forty new weapons.
  • New Challenges: More enemies, more bosses, and more mission objectives that add additional challenge and variety to any run.

Last Link of the Day: An Aluminium Extruder has a Hydraulic Failure that Quickly Turns into a Fire. Escalated quickly doesn't begin to describe it. Thanks VideoSift.

In a future not too far away, one Artificial Intelligence has prevailed over all other AIs and their governments. Society has migrated to a permanently integrated reality connected to a single neural network that continuously optimizes people's experiences by processing personal data.

Nathan, an outsider still refusing to comply with the new system, makes a living off the grid as a smuggler of modded hardware and cracked software. Geared with his custom headset, he is among the few that can still switch AVR off and see reality for what truly is.

New AMD Windows 7 Drivers

AMD Support now offers new version 22.6.1 Adrenalin Edition drivers for AMD Radeon graphics cards (thanks Neowin). This is an unusual release, as it addresses a single issue for users of Windows 7, an OS that's been unsupported by Microsoft since January 2020. Despite that, the drivers arrive with more known issues than fixed ones:
Fixed Issues

  • AMD Radeon™ Software may fail to install on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6900 XT.

Known Issues

  • Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
  • Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.

Monster Hunter Rise Demo Ends Next Week

A tweet from Capcom announces the Monster Hunter Rise Demo will no longer be available as of the end of this month (thanks Siliconera). This affects both the Steam and Switch editions. Word is this will not impact the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Demo, which will remain available:
The Monster Hunter Rise DEMO will no longer be available on June 30, 9pm PT / July 1, 5am BST for both Nintendo Switch and Steam. The Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Demo will continue to be available for download.

Out of the Blue

The NBA Draft was last night, and I am still working on wrapping my head around the flurry of trades the Knicks made. But word is they escaped with passing mark. But this is the Knickerbockers we're talking about here, so you have to grade them on a curve. A passing mark for another franchise translates to an A+ for the Knicks.

Drafty Round-up
Thanks Ant and Neutronbeam.
