Raven QA Strike Ends [2:04 pm ET] – Share – 11 Comments
Following the news that the Raven QA
department is forming a Union, The
ABK Workers
Alliance tweets that the
strike they've been conducting has come to an end:
Pending the recognition of our union, the Raven QA strike has ended. Unused strike funds are being stored for future organizing/strike efforts.

Dark Souls 3 Vulnerability Report [2:04 pm ET] – Share – 3 Comments
A
pinned thread on Reddit warns of a remote code execution vulnerability in
Dark Souls 3. This seems like a promotion for the
Blue Sentinel security
mod for the action/RPG sequel, but the accompanying posts appear to confirm
legitimate concerns about the exploit, the bona fides of the poster, and the
value of the mod. A
recent tweet
says the mod is now updated to safeguard against this: "The new Blue Sentinel
update is now out which should keep your PC and your information safe." Here's
the big picture:
A new remote code execution vulnerability has been discovered that is both severe in nature and easier to execute than previous ones that are patched by blue sentinel. We don't believe it's spreading beyond the person who worked on it but the level of damage it can cause is severe, any code sent can be run. Blue sentinel does not patch this vulnerability yet.

record (thanks SteamDB). This
comes shortly after Steam passed 28 million
simultaneous users for the first time. At that time Steam reported
28,230,661 concurrent users. The new record now stands at 29,198,370.

there's another new social deduction game among us. This one involves an
imposter on a spaceship attempting to deceive the crew. And while there's more
than a dash of familiarity there, the twist is that this is a single-player

Well that was certainly action-packed NFL playoff Saturday. I know a couple of
time-shifters read this, so I'll mask my spoiler in stating the obvious:
I had faith in Tennessee, but still thought they would prevail. And it
never even occurred to me that the Packers could lose that game at home. And
