BF2042 Leakers Threatened With Bans

A tweet from EA's lead community manager addresses the videos leaking from the Battlefield 2042 technical alpha (thanks Eurogamer). Players are warned that breaking the NDA in the test could get them banned from the eventual full game:
If you have access this weekend, make sure to read through your invitation email and follow the information provided.

You're under NDA for this Playtest, so Videos, Screenshots and Streaming from this Playtest result in Strikes on your channels.

Break the rules, expect to lose access to both the Technical Playtest, future EA Tests, and potentially access to 2042 itself when it releases.

We've already removed plenty of people from the Playtest in these past 48 hours, and they won't be able to play this weekend.

Twisted Metal Returning?

A tweet from Tom Henderson has a tease from the leakmaster general. There's not much, just an image, while the tweet says "2023." The image shows off Sweet Tooth and his ice cream truck. The clear implication is that some sort of return of the Twisted Metal series is expected in 2023. For his part, series creator David Jaffe tweets a reaction. This serves as a lesson in the importance of punctuation. David says: "I've not heard a thing which would make me sad." That sounds like approval, but we think he meant: I've not heard a thing, which would make me sad.

KVLT Revealed

Here's a Realms Deep 2021 Reveal Trailer for KVLT, a retro shooter "set in a obscure and grim version of WW2." All we have to go by for the moment is the description of the clip:
KVLT is a Retro Shooter set in a obscure and grim version of WW2.

KVLT is brutal and visceral, like your favorite 90's shooters, with a deep focus on level exploration and fast paced combat.

You are Lazar, an occultist and cold blooded mercenary, fighting to unveil the eldritch secrets that hide beyond the war theater.

Out of the Blue

I meant to follow up by now on my recent mention of the ants that were invading our home. As I said, we don't harbor any ill-will to ants, but there was only so much of that we were going to put up with before getting an exterminator, or at least a can of bug spray, on the case. Luckily, it never came to that. By a couple of days after me bringing it up, the problem was already mostly solved, as the ants departed as quickly as they came. We're still not sure why they showed up. The only theory we have is that some renovation next door may have disturbed them? It doesn't really matter, as long as the ants stay where they belong going forward, we're happy to declare a truce.
