Breach Wanderers Early Access

When Henry V cried "once more unto the breach, dear friends," it didn't sound like a suggestion to "wander." But indie developer Baronnerie Games is proposing just that with the Early Access release of Breach Wanderers. This combines the unbelievably diverse genres of collectible card games and roguelike deckbuilders, as you can see in the Early Access Trailer. This is for Windows and mobile, and the PC edition is available on Steam. Here's more:
Breach Wanderers combines elements from Collectible Card Games and Roguelike Deckbuilders in a brand new way! Create your own decks and choose which cards you will see each time you enter the Breach! With an abundance of creative freedom, choose your hero, create your deck and upgrade your guild before setting off for a new adventure.

LOST EPIC Early Access

Steam now offers Early Access to LOST EPIC, a 2D side-scrolling action/RPG from publisher oneoreight and developer Team EARTHWARS. The game did not carry a release date, so this launch is a bit of a surprise. The game depicts a conflict between gods and humanity. This sounds like a bit of a mismatch, but this Gameplay Trailer shows how you can use teamwork to make the dream work. The voiceover in the clip is Japanese, but there are English captions. Here's more on the game:
Featuring a vast amount of character progression options, and a multitude of upgradeable weapons, LOST EPIC invites adventurers to summon help from other players online, by using the item Shroud of Mist. Two explorers can join in, spawn to the chosen area, and assist the main character, in exchange for Anima that strengthens equipment and Tamahagane that can further power skills.

Early Access contains a third of the content planned for 1.0, featuring at least 7-10 hours of gameplay with additional challenges. Travel through The Sacred Mountain of Fertilis and Lake Pelgrand, discover more than 30 weapons, and more than 100 skills, with character artwork by Namie (Fate/Grand Order, Arknights, Azur Lane).

The Good Life Delayed

PLAYISM reveals it will be worldwide distributor and publisher of The Good Life, the upcoming "debt repayment RPG" from White Owls. Word is the game is now due for PC and consoles this fall, after originally being announced for launch this summer. The news comes along with a new trailer, though the combination of Japanese dialogue with Japanese subtitles may not be perfect for those of us who do not speak the language. Here's more on the game:
Journalist Naomi Hayward is drowning in debt and is at the end of her rope. Having accepted a request from The Morning Bell newspaper to “uncover the mystery of a small English town”, Naomi finds herself far from her home in New York, in Rainy Woods – known as “the happiest place in the world”...

Discover the truth behind a plethora of mysteries and even a murder in a happy little town

Upon beginning her investigation, Naomi – camera in hand – soon realizes that the town and its eccentric residents are hiding all sorts of secrets.

Out of the Blue

We have a fun outing planned today, as we're going to see one of the wonder twins play baseball this afternoon. I've mentioned our besties' kids before, but a little detail sets up the cute twist here. The kids would actually be quite familiar to anyone who's seen Young Sheldon, as they are fraternal twins who are basically Sheldon and Missy. He is a freaking genius, and I'm not exaggerating even a little. He's so smart it's scary. And she, while smart in her own right, is a gifted athlete, one of the most coordinated youngsters I've ever seen. So yeah, today we're going to watch Missy play ball from the stands with Sheldon, who will probably be explaining the flight of the ball based on lift angle and exit velocity. For three innings at least, which is apparently all the attention you can get out of seven year-olds. Then we'll have some margaritas to celebrate. Sort of reverse tailgating.
