Ken & Roberta Williams Returning to Game Design

A video from Space Quest Historian reveals that Ken and Roberta Williams are returning to game design. Ken and Roberta co-founded the company that eventually became Sierra Entertainment, and are widely regarded as trailblazers in the graphical adventure genre. They sold off their stake and retired years ago, but now word is they are working on a new project, and will be ready to reveal more details in about a month. What we know for now is they've been working on this for about 18 months, and they expect they will be recruiting beta testers beginning in July or August. Thanks ScreenRant. Kung Fu Jesus Released

Kung Fu Jesus is now available on Steam, offering a "genre-busting" fighting game where you travel the world preaching from the gospel of whoopass. This is a Windows game, but it has no keyboard and mouse support, so it requires a controller. Here's a trailer showing off some gameplay, and here's more to see if this will earn your faith:
A story-driven RPG beat’em up with unlockable combos, special abilities and 3 interlocking story paths – described by Rock, Paper, Shotgun as “Streets Of Rage on Mescaline” – Kung Fu Jesus takes players on a journey through the mind of a 'madman' as he deals with his deteriorating mental state. A comical look into the world of a schizophrenic who soon finds his reality is everything he has read about (from David Icke, the Bible, and Carlos Castaneda to They Live), Kung Fu Jesus will show you that what we once thought was conspiracy, myth, legend is now reality – a terrifying thought on its own.

Out of the Blue

As I mentioned yesterday, today's early update is to accommodate my road trip to attend my uncle's burial. This is one of those typical paradoxical scenarios where it will be great to reconnect with family, but the circumstances are terribly sad. It's an over three-hour drive each way, so it's quite likely I won't make it back in time for another update today. If that's the case, apologies in advance, I may have to catch up some tomorrow. But today kicks off the Memorial Day weekend here in the US, so news will probably be relatively slow.

Obituary: John Davis, real Milli Vanilli singer, dies of Covid-19 at 66.

Early Round-up
