Resident Evil Village Demo Gets More Time

Apparently the news that the demo for the Resident Evil Village Demo expected on Saturday would be available for one day only was not as popular as one would expect. A tweet from Capcom says the demo will run for an additional week. Normally an eight day demo would seem a little cheap, but compared to the original plan for a one-day demo it seems positively extravagant. The demo will be released at 8:00 EDT on May 1st and will run until May 9th at 8:00 pm EDT. Here's word:
We've heard your feedback and are extending the availability period for the final 60-minute multi-platform #REVillage demo.

The original 24-hour window starting 5PM PDT May 1 (1AM BST May 2) has been increased by a week, and now ends at the same times on May 9 PDT (May 10 BST).

Watch Dogs: Legion Title Update 4.0 Delayed

A tweet informs us that Watch Dogs: Legion Title Update 4.0 will take a little longer than previously planned:
Our team is hard at work finishing up the next title update, 4.0, which was scheduled to go out in late April. While working on the different pieces of content, we encountered some issues that we need to interest before deploying the update. We want the quality of this update to be in the best shape it can be. As such we've made the decision to push the release date to May 4 to ensure a great launch.

This will allow us to continue our work on fixes for bugs that have been reported by our players via our Watch Dogs: Legion Bug Reporter, as TU 4.0 will also include more game improvements.

We are really excited about the playing our upcoming content on watchdog collegian, and seeing all your reactions to our road map has been fantastic. Thanks for your ongoing support and passion.

Torn Away Announced

Publisher Nordcurrent and developer Perelesoq announce Torn Away, an adventure game coming later this year to Steam. This is set during World War II, but the main character paradoxically cannot use violence in her quest to survive. Here's a trailer, and here we tear away the curtain:
In TORN AWAY you’ll inhabit a world ravaged by war. As the fires of World War II rage across Europe, yet another life is ruined when Asya, an ordinary 10-year-old, is torn away from her home. Just like millions of others, she becomes an Ostarbeiter, a common worker in a forced labor camp. Now, through the darkest of times, Asya has to find a glimmer of hope and endure if she ever wants to be free. When the opportunity arises, she runs away, fleeing eastward across Germany and Poland. To her home.

What makes this game stand out from other titles with a similar premise is the fact that Asya can’t use violence in order to survive. That means hiding and evading soldiers, persevering through the harsh elements of nature, and seeking shelter and food. In this war-torn world, Asya has to stay true to herself. She has to survive without losing that which makes us human.

Stack Up! (or dive trying) This Year

Stack Up! (or dive trying) is an indie game in the works at PixelConflict that will test your stackulation skills when it's released later this year on Steam. You can see this in action in this previously released Teaser Trailer. Here are stacks of facts:
Stack Up! is a light hearted and intense stack-your-way-up platformer with varying difficulty levels all made for casual play or record breaking runs. The objective is simple, get as high as you can and NEVER touch the water below you. Players can go at it solo or put their pride on the line by challenging friends and frenemies, all whilst planning smartly, treading carefully and quickly building their way up with the objects falling around them. The goal? Stack up, have fun and break records… or dive trying, of course.

Succubus Gets July Release Date and New Demo

Madmind Studio announces Succubus will be released on July 21st, offering the chance to play as a demonic priestess who gets revenge on her enemies through the power of dark magic and bewbs. Here is a new Official Release Date Trailer, which is age-restricted despite the JAV blurring over the most titillating parts. The previously released Prologue is still available on Steam with some updates and fixed based on player feedback. There's also a new playable demo. Word on that is: "It offers one, vast location, 3 weapons, 4 types of special powers (spark, wave push, heal, fireball) and several types of enemies representing different types of artificial intelligence. And it all comes with the Adult Only version - without any censorship!" Here's word on the main character's passion... for killing:
You are the Succubus – a wild and lustful demon who rejected the role of the queen of the infernal abyss. With the disappearance of the legitimate rulers of Hell, the remaining demons recognized Nimrod as their ruler, because he was the only soul who could dominate the mind of the mighty Beast. By raising his new empire from the corpses of sinners, the new king, along with his new queen – you – managed to control the chaos left by former rulers. The life of luxury and walking on rugs sewn from the skins of martyrs was not for you though, and so you have chosen a life in the wilderness. You inflict pain by hurting everyone and everything in your path to satisfy your apetites and primal instincts.

Respawn's Oscar

Respawn Entertainment and Oculus celebrate the Oscar won at the 93rd Academy Awards by Colette, which was honored as Best Documentary Short. The video, directed by Anthony Giacchino, is featured in the virtual reality game Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, and it's available to stream by way of The Guardian. Here's more:
The documentary short follows Colette Marin-Catherine, one of the last living members of the French Resistance, as she returns to Germany for the first time in 74 years. Colette had refused to step foot in the country since the conclusion of World War II, but that changed when a young history student named Lucie entered her life and encouraged her to visit the concentration camp where the Nazis killed her brother. Colette received a festival and theatrical release ahead of the launch of Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, winning numerous awards, including Oscar®-qualifying wins at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival and St. Louis International Film Festival.

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is now available for the Oculus Rift and Steam platforms and provides one of the deepest VR experiences available to date. Players will be immersed in an emotionally-driven single-player campaign, fully-realized multiplayer modes, a powerful retelling of history from veterans and heroes in the franchise's iconic Gallery and more. Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is an authentic and period-accurate experience which sheds light on the history of World War II blending film and games in a revolutionary take on interactive entertainment.

Out of the Blue

I did end up picking up the makings of a dinner for MrsBlue and me. I got a ribeye, a swordfish steak, and some asparagus for another lavish surf and turf, which is apparently my new specialty. The weather wasn't cooperative enough to make all this on Manstovia, so I'm just holding it for dinner tomorrow. That's our actual anniversary anyway, so I'll just pretend this has been the carefully orchestrated plan all along.

Well-Planned Round-up
Thanks Ant and Neutronbeam.
