A post on StarWars.com whips up interest in a new Indiana Jones game that's in the works at Bethesda's Machine Games Studio, the developer behind the revival of the Wolfenstein series. It embeds this tweet from Bethesda that features a cinematic trailer teasing the project. Their write-up says the cryptic trailer may provide some clues about what to expect:

In major news for fans of the cinematic icon, Lucasfilm Games announced today that a new Indiana Jones game will be swinging our way, being developed by the award-winning studio, MachineGames, and executive produced by game industry icon Todd Howard of Bethesda Games Studios. The game will tell a wholly original, standalone tale set at the height of the career of the famed adventurer.

While few details surrounding the Indy game have been revealed, Bethesda Softworks released a cryptic teaser that may hold some clues. Take a look for yourself above and follow @LucasfilmGames and @Bethesda for more information on this title in the future.

NVIDIA announces the GeForce RTX 3060 is due in late February to offer the new 12 GB variant in the line. They say these will start at USD$329.00. The list specs saying they will sport 3584 CUDA cores, a 1.78 GHz boost clock, a 1.32 base clock, and 12 GB of GDDR6 RAM on a 192-bit memory interface. Here's their announcement:

For desktop PC gaming, NVIDIA announced the latest addition to the GeForce RTX family--the GeForce RTX 3060. Priced starting at $329, the RTX 3060 has twice the raster performance and 10x the ray-tracing performance of the GTX 1060, making it a formidable upgrade opportunity for the 90% of GeForce gamers still gaming on a GTX GPU. It will be available in late February.

Speaking of NVIDIA (above), they offer this update announcing the addition of RTX Technologies such as DLSS and ray tracing is coming to several games, including Call of Duty: Warzone. They details and trailers for each of the following games:

Motion Twin and Evil Empire announces that Fatal Falls will drop on January 26 as the second paid DLC for Dead Cells, their roguelite, metroidvania action/platformer. A new trailer shows off some gameplay, and it does indeed include some fatal falls, so they get extra points for truth in advertising. They also promise to launch some sales at that time on bundles of the game and its DLC. Here's more on what to expect:

The Fatal Falls DLC introduces a significant amount of new content for fans including two new mid-game biomes, a killer new boss and a slew of new weapons and items. The gameplay reveal trailer released today showcases new biomes The Fractured Shrines and The Undying Shores as well as a cranky new boss - The Scarecrow, who existing fans may recognize as the Royal Gardener gone wrong with Malaise.

The two new biomes are parallels to the ‘Stilt Village’, ‘Clock Tower’ and ‘Time Keeper’ areas and are intended as alternate paths to spice up your mid-game runs. Along the new paths fans can expect to encounter a homicidal pet sword (why not?) and new slightly psychotic enemies like the Myopic Crow, the Clumsy Swordsman, the Compulsive Gravedigger and a lot more (eight total) culminating with the final boss, The Scarecrow (might want to keep an eye on those exploding mushrooms when you encounter him).

Yaga is now available on GOG.com and Steam, offering an action/RPG for Windows where you play as a one-armed blacksmith with "incredibly bad luck." Luckily developer Breadcrumbs Interactive and publisher Versus Evil offer a trailer to illustrate the point. This game was released on the Epic Games Store a little over a year ago, and the launch on Steam includes a new version 1.2 update. Here are the details:

Intel Announces Four New Processor Families at CES 2021 (thanks Hypothermia). Interestingly, they refer to their new desktop CPUs as targeting business, while the gaming CPUs they tout for gaming are mobile processors. Here's word on their gaming plans:

Handball Manager 2021 is coming to Steam on January 27th, offering the chance to play as the manager and trainer of your own Handball team in a new installment in netmin games' sports series. They celebrate the news by announcing two additional leagues will be part of the mix:

Today netmin games announced the integration of the Liga Sacyr ASOBAL - the Spanish league - and the STRABAG RAIL Extraliga - the Czech league - into the Handball Manager 2021.

Handball Manager 2021 will be published on Steam on January 27, at the same time as the start of the knockout games of the Handball World Championship in Egypt. In addition to the two leagues mentioned above, the title also includes the LIQUI MOLY Handball Bundesliga and HBL 2.

Last year I mentioned my learning experience when the swans and most of the ducks did not depart our area to fly south for the winter. Now that I'm aware this isn't something they all must do, I'm not shocked that they are once again sticking around. But they still have the capacity to surprise me, as they've been spending most of their time on the nearby pond, undeterred by the fact that it's frozen over most of the time. The swans, who generally don't seem to like walking or sitting on dry land, spent most of yesterday sitting on the ice. At one point they tucked their heads back and took a lengthy nap. Even when a bit of the ice thawed they spent more time on the ice than in the exposed water. It's still hard to fathom how comfortable they and the ducks seem. Whether on the ice, or swimming around, they so not seem to care at all. I'm jealous, as I am always cold when outdoors in winter, even wearing a down jacket that uses the very same insulation that they do.
