Binding of Isaac: Repentance in March

Edmund McMillen offers a new trailer revealing March 31st as the Steam release date for The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, the upcoming "sequel sized final expansion" for the action/adventure (thanks ResetEra). Here's what to expect:
PRAY FOR REPENTANCE AND BE REBORN
Experience the modern classic, The Binding of Isaac, like you've never seen it before. It's a game too big to be called a sequel: Repentance takes Isaac to new heights of roguelike dungeon adventure, as the brave boy descends into the basement for his greatest challenge yet! Isaac's new quest takes him to unknown places he's never been, filled with horrible new enemies and bosses, weapon combos you've never synergized before and items he's never seen... unholy terrors from his wildest dreams and worst nightmares!

BIGGER THAN A SEQUEL
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is so huge, so new and so feature-packed that it makes previous updates look like prequels. There are more features, improvements and new secrets, too many secrets, than most games would include in an official sequel! It's an immense amount of new content to explore, even if you're at 1,000,000%!

Hitman 3 Gameplay Footage

Game Informer now offers gameplay footage from Hitman 3, the upcoming conclusion of IO Interactive's assassin-for-hire series. Any such video has the potential to spoil things, but be aware this covers the opening five minutes of the game's opening Dubai mission, so you may want to skip it if you are really looking forward to playing the game.

Out of the Blue

Happy New Year. I hope you and yours enjoyed last night and are not suffering too much today as a result. We had a pleasant evening at home with some Chinese food. We got a steak and some champagne for the occasion, but decided we'll end up having them today instead. We have another Zoom call with family and friends later, and plan to be a little drunk on the champagne by the time that comes around. As previously discussed there are a lot of reasons to be happy that 2020 is done with. And while it's not like unwrapping a new calendar will automatically fix everything, here's a sincere hope that the recently launch of COVID-19 vaccinations will help turn the corner on the pandemic and lead to better things after the terrible direction it's recently taken. But I also have reasons to be grateful. I want to thank you all for the tremendous support you've shown for Blue's News this year. The supporter program has gone a long way towards ensuring the site's viability, and I cannot express enough gratitude to those who have participated. And another huge thank you to Frans for another year of amazing friendship and support for the site as well. I've said it before, but you would not be reading these words were it not for him.

So here's hoping 2021 brings better things to all of you and that you stay safe and healthy. Cheers!
