Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Beta

The crossplay beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now open to all. This can be accessed for Windows through the Blizzard Battle.net client. This post from a couple of weeks ago has all the details on what to expect. Here's the overview:
During the Beta, experience signature Black Ops combat across traditional 6v6 modes, the higher player count 12v12 Combined Arms, and a brand-new 40-player mode, Fireteam: Dirty Bomb. The Beta will feature a selection of the game’s Multiplayer maps set in distinct global locations during the Cold War. Players can progress and rank up in the Beta-specific levelling system where loadout items, including new weaponry, covert spy tech through Field Upgrades, and badass Scorestreaks can be unlocked by earning XP.

Super Huey III Re-release

Ziggurat Interactive now offers their promised re-release of Super Huey III on GOG.com and Steam. This helicopter simulation from 2003 is updated to work on Windows 10 systems. It also includes updated graphics, though this trailer shows it remains fairly true to the original. Here's a refresher:

Tin Can This Week

Indie developer Tin Can Studio announce an October 30th release date for Tin Can, their eponymous survival game. This will come to Windows via Steam, offering a space oddity where you attempt to make the grade while sitting in a tin can far above the world. They call this "a chilling survival simulation of being trapped in an old Medusa Class escape pod with nothing more than your skills and limited knowledge of technology. With patience, luck, and a detailed component manual, you might just survive in time to experience another Hallows Eve." Here's a Teaser Trailer, and here's more:
Tin Can is a frightening realistic survival experience where your ship's systems are simulated down to the component level! You are lost in space in a fragile pod where only its thin hull separates you from space void. Your challenge is to discover ways to mend and repair your pod's broken systems while staying alive and healthy until rescue can be called if they answer at all… How do you fix an oxygen generator that malfunctions? Gonner2 Next Week

Publisher Raw Fury and developer Art in Heart announce October 22nd is the release date for Gonner 2, the action/platformer sequel for Windows, Xbox One, and Switch. The PC edition will land on GOG.com and Steam, and this post on Steam has details on the release along with this trailer celebrating the news. Here's more on the follow-up to GoNNER, which won the 2017 IGF award for best audio:
