Warframe Expansion This Month

Digital Extremes wrapped up this year's digital version of TennoCon with the announcement of Heart of Deimos, a new open-world expansion for Warframe that will be simultaneously released for the PC and console editions of the third-person shooter on August 25th. Here's a Gameplay Demo Video and here's the plan:
Weaving the grotesque and the beautiful, old and the new, the Heart of Deimos will propel Warframe into a completely new era -- one that now starts with a Cinematic New Player Introduction and has three open worlds to explore. A living moon, the new open world Heart of Deimos unwraps the Infested factions’ murky, complex origins, unveiling the lost Entrati family and the marvels of technology and horror it left behind. With the Cinematic New Player Introduction, new and veteran players alike will feel like they are playing a significant part in a larger universe with greater consequences. And with the newly revealed Helminth Chrysalis System, Tenno can transform their space ninja by transferring Abilities between Warframes, kicking off one of the game’s deepest customization systems yet.

Halo Infinite Battle Royale?

A post on Reddit has what's said to be a translation of a Japanese store listing for Halo Infinite. According to this, the upcoming installment in the shooter series will include a battle royale mode. On the other hand, as VG247 notes, they quoted 343 writer Jeff Easterling in a livestream a couple of years ago saying: "I’ll tell you right now, the only BR we’re interested in is Battle Rifle. The original BR. So, calm yourself."

Xbox Game Pass Becoming Just Game Pass?

A tweet from Xbox Game Pass shows a new logo that apparently renames the service as simply "Game Pass." There is a similar tweet from Xbox Game Pass For PC. These are noted in a tweet from Cassim Ketfi and seem to be official follow ups to them noticing the new logo elsewhere. It seems possible that this points to a unification of the two game passes that will eliminate the confusing branding of the PC edition. Thanks VGC.

Out of the Blue

Well I may be getting my wish. The giant gang of ducks wandered around behind our house yesterday to coax me out of a little oatmeal. Before too long the lone goose came along and they all seemed very comfortable together. So my hopes that he would manage to make friends with the duckies and have some companions may be coming true. In an unusual development, the swans noticed the commotion at one point and swam over to see what the fuss was all about. They actually came up on shore, which had never happened over here before. The swan leader didn't seem to like the ducks, but he seemed satisfied to just menace them a little without actually chasing or biting anyone. But the oatmeal that the ducks savor so much held no interest for the swans, and with good reason. As big as they seem on the water, they are that much larger up close. The large one was probably all of four feet tall, so the little flakes of oatmeal probably didn't even register for him.
