Modern Day Battlefield 6 Rumor

ResetEra highlights a recent tweet from Tom Henderson saying the next Battlefield game will be set in the modern day. They call him a reliable source for advance info on the military shooter series in the past. Bearing that out is a follow-up tweet from Jeff Grubb where the Venturebeat writer endorses this information with a simple, but concise "Yup."

PC Gaming Show Saturday

The PC Gaming Show is coming on Saturday, and the festivities will kick off at 2:00 pm EDT. This was originally scheduled for last Saturday before it was postponed by a week to show support for Black Lives Matter protests. Now PC Gamer offers the PC Gaming Show 2020 Album, free to listen to now along with a rundown on what to expect from the show, though they are holding back on "a few surprises" including the identity of "a mystery co-host." One surprise they reveal right now is this will probably go more smoothly than usual, as the two-hour show will be prerecorded rather than live. Here's word:
The PC Gaming Show will return this Saturday, June 13 at 11 AM Pacific, with the biggest lineup in its six-year history. More than two dozen participants will take part in reveals, trailers, and interviews that will include a chat with Rocketwerkz founder Dean Hall about what's coming next from the studio, a first look at Surgeon Simulator 2, a Torchlight 3 surprise, and (this is one I'm personally looking forward to) a brand-new trailer from Dusk and Amid Evil publisher New Blood Interactive.

No Man's Sky Cross-Play and Game Pass Launch Tomorrow

A post on the No Man's Sky Website announces that cross play support will launch tomorrow, allowing No Man's Sky players on different platforms to play together. This coincides with the release of the space exploration game for Game Pass subscribers for both Windows 10 and Xbox One. Here's word:
We are excited to be able to announce that, starting tomorrow, PlayStation 4 players, Xbox One players and PC players will all be able to explore, journey, survive, build, and trade together. Excitingly, No Man’s Sky is joining what is at the moment a fairly small group of games which support cross-platform multiplayer.

A tremendous amount of work has gone into this update and the underlying technology and systems. We’ve moved to an entirely new networking architecture, with more flexibility for the future, allowing players to play together regardless of platform. I’m very proud of the team that has worked so hard to make this happen.

Meanwhile we are continuing to work hard on new content updates, large and small for the future.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Roadmap

Publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay announce that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has now sold over one million copies since the launch of the side-scrolling action/RPG almost a year ago. They also lay out a development roadmap for the future of the game. This includes a free Boss Revenge Mode that was a stretch goal of their Kickstarter and new hair color options that will both launch on June 23rd. Down the road they plan DLC with three more new game modes, a new playable character, and more. Here's a Thank You Video from creator Koji Igarashi, and here are some details on their plans:
Q3 2020
VS Mode
(Local/Online)
A tense survival mode where players compete by indirectly attacking each another.

Chaos Mode (Local/Online)
A specialized boss rush for 1 or 2 players. The mode includes randomized drops and special sub goals that will grant more equipment when completed. Collect the best, drop the rest as you build power to defeat all the bosses!

Classic Mode
It’s Bloodstained 80s-style as Miriam faces off against a series of sub-bosses laid out across five harrowing stages and three difficulty levels.
