Echo Joins Overwatch

The latest update is now live in Overwatch, adding Echo as the newest hero to Blizzard's multiplayer shooter. These patch notes have all the details on what's new and this page explains how to win Echo-themed rewards by watching Twitch streams. Echo fires three shots (Tri-Shot) at once, in a triangle pattern. Echo fires a volley of Sticky Bombs that detonates after a delay. Echo uses Flight to surge forward quickly, then can fly freely to avoid danger or maneuver to a more strategic location. Using Focusing Beam, Echo channels a beam for a few seconds, dealing very high damage to targets with less than half health, including barriers. With Duplicate, Echo targets an enemy hero and clones them, gaining all of their abilities and potentially changing a team fight in an instant.

More on Artifact 2.0

A Deployment Deep Dive has more from Valve on their plans to resurrect Artifact, their card game, as they react to feedback on what they've revealed about this so far. They go into detail on how matches will play out, explaining that they are trying to reduce the amount of influence RNG has on matches. Here's a bit:
One of the first heavy RNG components that players faced was the initial board setup. “The Flop”, as it used to be called, would randomly deploy the first set of heroes and lane creeps. Let’s take an in-depth look at how deployment has changed.

Board Layout
The board still has 3 lanes, but each lane is exactly 5 slots. The slots also have a fixed position, so adding units on either end of the lane doesn’t shift the positions of any units. There are some rules for deploying on top of units if the lane gets too full or if there’s just something in your way, which you’ll find at the end of this post.
