Ponpu in June

Ponpu is a party game coming to PC via Steam and to consoles in June. This allows up to four players in local multiplayer, and will hopefully support Steam's Steam Remote Play Together feature for your social distancing needs. This was named best console game at the Game Connection Europe 2019 - Indie Development Awards and was also a Jury's honorable mention. Here's the official website and here's word on the game, where you won't be able to make an omelet without breaking a few eggs:
Inspired by party classics like Bomberman, Ponpu is a competitive arcade maze game. Four diabolical ducks go in, but only one comes out on top of a mountain of explosive eggs. Ponpu updates the classic formula for the modern age with quick dodges, shields and parries, raising the stakes and giving skilled players a chance to really flex on their foes. Players can also use a variety of special egg-based abilities, including hidden mines, freezing eggs, control-scrambling poison bombs and more.

Players can compete against each other locally across three wildly different modes. Free-For-All is classic combat, last duck standing. Coin Collector has players beating cash out of each other, with the crown going to the most moneyed mallard. Paint The Map (inspired by Splatoon) has players rushing to spread their colors far and wide before the last bell rings.

Morning Crowdfunding

Out of the Blue

We got our first delivery of some groceries from BJs this weekend. The cleaning supplies we ordered were out-of-stock by the time the order was fulfilled, which was our main goal. But the good news is we found some Lysol in the local grocery and I filled a couple of spray bottles with it, so we're a little better-equipped to try and keep things we bring into the house sanitary. The weird thing about the small amount of groceries we got in our delivery is they included a case of Stove Top Stuffing, which we most definitely did not order. I alerted the driver to this as he got back in his car, but there seemed to be a language barrier and there was nothing I could say to convince him to take it back as he rushed off like he was escaping a bank robbery. They didn't charge us for it, so I guess we have some real bottom-of-the-barrel provisions to fall back on.
