Play Dead by Daylight for Free

A Dead by Daylight free weekend is underway on Steam, offering the chance to check out this 4v1 multiplayer horror game for nothing. To be honest, this is actually the tail-end of a free week, but we missed when this kicked off. The free period continues until September 23rd, and the game and all its additional content are on sale until September 25th. Here's word on the game:
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed.

Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.

The Survivors' goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer - something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.

The Bat-Signal has appeared over the Island. Answer the call in this Caped Crossover from now until October 6 in celebration of Batman’s 80th anniversary!

A Rift Zone has brought Gotham City to Fortnite. Of course, it wouldn’t be Gotham City if villainy didn’t come along with it. This POI lets you be the hero the citizens of Gotham City need by giving you your own Batman cape and the power of Glider Redeploy!

Being a hero is even more fun when you have some “wonderful toys” at your disposal. Drop in the game now to try out the Batman Grapnel Gun and Explosive Batarang!

For the details of these, head over to the v10.31 Patch Notes.

One of the best parts of being a Super Hero is the suit — save the day in style with the Batman Caped Crusader Pack! In addition to other Batman-themed cosmetics, this Pack includes the Batman Comic Book Outfit and The Dark Knight Movie Outfit!

The Batman Caped Crusader Pack will be in the Store until October 6.

The Shop features individual Batman-themed items too, including an Outfit for his feline frenemy Catwoman!

Rescue the Island from danger by taking on the heroic Challenges available until October 1. Completing these Challenges will earn you free rewards from the Welcome to Gotham City Challenge Bundle, including the Catwing Glider! (But stopping evil is reward enough, right?)

Join in on the action today. Long Live The Bat, Fortnite-style.

ArcheAge: Unchained Delayed

An announcement from gamigo reveals a delay of about two weeks for the release of ArcheAge: Unchained, the upcoming "Buy2Play" edition of this MMORPG. The launch was planned for September 30th, but will now come on October 15th. This new-ish trailer shows off the games enhanced graphics and the announcement explains the setback:
The gamigo group announces that the release date of the anticipated Online-MMORPG ArcheAge: Unchained has been moved to October 15th, 2019. The German publisher intends to prolong the Quality Assurance phase to ensure the in-game mechanics are fairly balanced and that new features, such as the ArchePass, are implemented properly. The decision is based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community, which had a strong influence on the development of ArcheAge: Unchained since its announcement.

According to the community, ArcheAge: Unchained is the online role-playing game many MMORPG fans have been waiting for. New and existing players of ArcheAge deserve the best possible experience from the day of release. gamigo will continue to improve the gameplay experience based on player feedback, to offer the best version of ArcheAge: Unchained. gamigo will also set up a preview server starting October 1st, which will give players access to a first look at the new content. Over the following two weeks, and in two waves, owners of the Founder Packages as well as the general public will have the chance to try out and extensively test the game before its release. Feedback of any kind is very much appreciated!

The launch of the "Shadows Revealed" update will also be postponed. With this update, the graphics in both versions (F2P and B2P) of ArcheAge will be significantly improved. gamigo will also extend the development period in order to optimize the new graphic settings, performance and features.

Out of the Blue

Immaculate: Franco Harris' TD catch voted greatest NFL play (thanks Neutronbeam). Pretty good choice. I'd have picked the helmet catch myself, but I'm partial. My choice actually ended up third on the list after "The Catch," which is also a deservingly iconic moment. Here's the full list if you're curious.
