Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gameplay Footage

The promised presentation of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is complete, which involved a lot of screaming, along with some information. EA also showed off 15 minutes of uncut gameplay footage from this third-person, single-player action/adventure that's set after the execution of Order 66 that wiped out most of the Jedi in Star Wars Episode 3 (the video also includes a humorous "at least we have the high ground" reference). This shows your character doing Star Wars stuff as well as some more commonplace adventuring like Tarzan swinging on vines and using your lightsaber as a flashlight. Never fear, it also features combat where you use it as a weapon, along with various Force powers, aided by a droid/backpack. Respawn's Vince Zampella and Stig Asmussen also answered questions about gameplay, perhaps most significantly saying this game will not tempt you to the dark side, and protagonist Cal Kestis will remain a good guy throughout. Out of the Blue

It's been quite hot around here the past couple of days. As a skinny guy, I prefer hot to cold, but I'm not so nuts that I like it when it's scorching, so this is about as much as I can take before it's too much. But it still being early June, this serves as an ominous reminder that, to riff on Game of Thrones, summer is coming. Here's hoping it doesn't involve the Day King and red walkers.

Destroy All Humans! Remake Announced

THQ Nordic announces Destroy All Humans!, a complete remake of the 2005 game Destroy all Humans that will be built with the Unreal Engine. The original was only available for consoles, but this new version will come to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 next year to celebrate the game's 15th anniversary. They offer a look at how this will turn out in this trailer set to the soothing melodies of Rammstein. Here's word on the plan:

"The first casualty of war is always truth". Or Bessie, the cow. And you KNEW it, didn’t you? They are real, they are evil and they are here to take over our planet. No, not cows, aliens. Yes, that's right, the invasion of Earth has already begun, the aliens are among us! Well, one alien to be precise: Crypto 137, Warrior of the Furon Empire, has arrived to save his people by ... uhm ... extracting DNA from brains. Yours for example. Naturally, one can’t properly subdue inferior life forms without the extensive use of the Zap-O-Matic, the Disintegrator Ray and the notorious Anal Probe Gun. And if that ain’t enough, Crypto can always level everything he sees with his UFO’s heavy loadout.

Destroy All Humans! is in development for PC, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. It's a complete remake of the 2005 cult-classic, using the mighty Unreal Engine 4 to give new and old fans the best-looking invasion of Earth ever.

What are we keeping just the way it was and should be? The unique 50s alien invasion story and legendary dialogues full of quirky humor.

What are we carefully updating? Crypto is more agile than ever, his aerial combat skills improved, his psychic skills can now be used in glorious unison with his guns. And the new Psychokinesis… ever wondered what’d happen if a Jedi had a love child with the Goat Simulator? You’re welcome for that mental image.

Destroy All Humans! is developed by THQ Nordic's internal studio Black Forest Games in Germany and is scheduled to release in 2020, marking the 15th anniversary of the Destroy All Humans!-Series.
