Black Ops 4 Free Blackout Month Begins Tomorrow; Alcatraz Map Revealed

Here's a new trailer showing off Alcatraz, a new map coming to Blackout, the battle royale mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This will come to the PlayStation 4 edition of the military shooter tomorrow, leaving those on other platforms stuck between a rock and a hard case until the exclusivity ends in about a month. But there's good news here for all Black Ops 4 players, as the clip concludes saying that starting tomorrow Activision is granting free access to the Blackout mode for the remainder of April. We don't have any more details on that, so here's more on the Alcatraz map:
The new Blackout Alcatraz map is set in a fog-filled island boasting a variety of environments that all lead up to the big cellhouse atop the hill. Requiring new strategies and tactics, players will drop in, gear up and fight through both close-quarters combat and long-range exterior firefights as they battle to be the last squad standing.

Alcatraz is launching in addition to the original Blackout map, so players will have two distinct maps to choose from when jumping into the mode.

Metro Exodus Kills 3rd Party Keys

A post on Steam announces that what are being called stolen keys for Metro Exodus are being deactivated (thanks PCGamesN). Here's what Deep Silver is saying about this:
We have been made aware of illegal stolen keys being sold by an unofficial key reseller.

These keys have been obtained illegally from the factory where physical key printing had taken place prior to the announcement of exclusivity with Epic Games, due to the criminal nature of these keys, all unlicensed keys have been deactivated and activation / download of Metro Exodus without the executable file is no longer possible. In addition, the software will be removed from the Steam library of any players using an unauthorised code. The keys being sold on this platform are stolen goods, and are therefore illegal.

If you have been affected we strongly recommend you contact the seller who sold you the unlicensed key and demand a refund.

The only supported key sellers for Metro Exodus were Humblebundle and the Razer store.

Metro Exodus will return to Steam after 14 February 2020.

Out of the Blue

Happy April Fool's Day, an annual event involving tortured gags and tortured news desks. On an unrelated note, we've changed the name of this site to Pink's News, which has got to be catching everybody off-guard because it's not something we've done before and because it's totally true. You may have to force a refresh on your browser to see our new logo (thanks Walter "2" Costinak) for the very first time ever. Also, overnight we were bought by, oh, I don't know, let's go with Nintendo. All kidding aside, as usual today will be dominated by gags, and as usual, we will do our best to not post any of them as actual news and to not earmark any actual news as pranks. With any luck we'll safely make it through all this together.
