New Diablo Plans Revealed?

By way of a new job posting for a game director for an "unannounced project," Blizzard seems to have pretty clearly announced that this project will be a new Diablo game (thanks Ars Technica). The responsibilities mention a knowledge and passion for Diablo games and experience "developing online games, action games, and / or role-playing games," qualities some feel may not have been present enough during the initial design phases of Diablo III. Aside from those details, the abstract makes it sound pretty apparent that a new Diablo game is in the works:

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a game director with outstanding communications skills, proven experience in creative direction, strong ability in system design, and a stellar track record of shipping AAA games to lead the Diablo series into the future.

This video has most of the update, including pretty detailed looks at two new characters, Gul'dan and Auriel. Word is: "It’s almost time for some new additions to the Nexus, including our two upcoming Heroes: Gul'dan and Auriel! Check out the video below to catch a glimpse of these two powerful paragons of light and darkness, along with some of the other awesome stuff coming to the game in the near future:" Continue here to read the full story.

New Blood Bowl 2 DLC This Month

Focus Home Interactive announces the Unread Team DLC will be released late this month for Blood Bowl 2, the fantasy-themed sports sequel. As the title implies, this will bring a new team of undead players to the game, presumably all hopped-up on performance-enhancing brains. These screenshots show off the new race, and here's word, which includes details on how it's still possible to qualify for a free copy of this DLC:

Blood Bowl 2 is the sequel to the video game adaptation of Games Workshop's famous board game that combines American football with the fantasy world of Warhammer. The new screenshots unveiled today showcase the upcoming Undead team and their deadly Players. They will be available, along with their own Starplayers, in the Undead DLC available late July for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC/Mac.

We remind you that PC/Mac Steam players of Blood Bowl 2 can still benefit from the FOUNDERS INCENTIVE: Players will receive the Undead, as well as the Necromantic and the Nurgle teams for free, as long as they purchased the game before the races release. Also, Blood Bowl 2 is currently 60% off on Steam until July 4th. This is a perfect opportunity to get the game at an attractive price, and receive the coming races for free as soon as they are available.

ELEX Details; Trailer

Nordic Games offers some new details on ELEX, the post-apocalyptic RPG in the works at Gothic developer Piranha Bytes. They now say to expect this foe Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in the first quarter of next year, and offer a "mood" video to, you know, get you in the mood. Here's a new outline of what to expect from this game, and how it will pit brother against sister, up versus down, and Coke versus Pepsi:

The Story
Magalan, the completely open game world of ELEX, was home to a highly developed civilisation until a catastrophic meteor strike devastated the planet, reducing it to a post-apocalyptic world. The meteor also deposited a substance that is now found in nearly everything: Elex, and each faction uses it in a different way. Every inhabitant of the world is constantly looking for Elex, whether as a substance with magical powers, to use in a weapon or as a pure stimulant.

A Game of Contrasts
ELEX is all about contrasts: science vs fantasy, magic vs laser weapons and logic vs emotions. In ELEX, Piranha Bytes combines all the game elements that RPG fans love and has placed them in an entirely new environment: a science-fantasy setting. These contrasts are also evident in the various factions.

Use of Elex
While one faction, the Albs, consider the ingestion of Elex as part of their cult, the Clerics group ban the consumption of Elex on religious grounds, and use it to build their high-tech weapons. The Berserkers however, a people who live in harmony with nature, process Elex into mana and use it to craft magical weapons. As for the Bandits, their society has no fixed rules, but they live by the credo: “Take anything you can grab, or someone else will.”

Out of the Blue

Whelp, the mystery of my recent malady has been solved. I got a call this morning from my doctor about the additional round of tests he conducted, and it turns out my second Lyme titer was positive. In fact, his words were "very positive," so in the course of one week my evidence of the disease went from nonexistent to extreme. So... yay? Actually, this feels like good news, because as someone who rarely feels sick, I was positive the symptoms I was experiencing meant that something was actually wrong, so at least it's good to know what it is. The fact that my earlier test came back negative so recently suggests we caught this pretty early, but Lyme titers are also known for false negatives. Either way, I'm still assuming a round of antibiotics will clear this up. Thanks for all the suggestions and support during the stage when this was just a giant aggravating mystery.
