UbiBlog has details on tomorrow's planned release of
Underground, the
first premium expansion for
The Division, saying this will come along
with a new patch to update the game to version 1.3. They offer a new trailer
called
Going Underground -
What We Learned showing off the pack, and outline details about the
expansion and the patch:
Underground, the first paid expansion for The
Division, arrives on Xbox One and PC tomorrow, and it’s bringing a host of cool
new features and additions. At its center are the randomized Underground
Operations, which we tried out at E3, and which bring new levels of uncertainty
and challenge to group missions. Underground also comes with a new level-30
Incursion, Dragon’s Nest, which pits Agents against the Cleaners in Hell’s
Kitchen, as well as four new Gear Sets:
- B.L.I.N.D., which adds an improved Pulse skill and
flashbangs.
- DeadEYE, which enhances long-range firepower with
critical strikes and accurate headshots.
- FireCrest, which lets you set enemies ablaze.
- Reclaimer, an “ultimate support set” with the
power to boost your entire group.
The Underground expansion will arrive alongside Update 1.3, which adds a raft
of improvements for all players on Xbox One and PC (with the PS4 update coming
at a later date). Delivering more than bug fixes, Update 1.3 adds a new Gear Set
– AlphaBridge, which lets you take advantage of all equipped weapon talents – as
well as new high-end weapons, a new Base of Operations extension called the
Terminal, and Heroic Mode and Challenge Mode difficulty levels for select
missions. Other highlights include:
- A new Dark Zone bracket for players with 231+ Gear
Score.
- Level 30 players will now only encounter level 30
or higher enemy NPCs in Free Roam.
- Matchmaking and fast-travel into no-respawn areas.
- The High-Risk High-Value Targets have had their
rewards and difficulty adjusted to take into account the Gear Score
increase.
- Added a base weapon damage value that makes it
easier to compare weapons.

Funcom sends word that today is the 15th anniversary of the launch of
Anarchy Online, as their sci-fi
MMORPG
first launched on June 27, 2001. At that time
the launch had some rough patches, they rebounded to the point where the game is
still running to celebrate the occasion all these years later.
They
announce an anniversary event is now underway for all current and most
former subscribers, saying, "accounts that have been frozen and/or gone unpaid,
and are in good standing, will be able to log in freely for the duration of the
event." Here's word on what's going on:
As part of the celebration,
Funcom invites everyone who has ever played 'Anarchy Online' to join in the
festivities between June 23rd and July 11th (regardless of current Membership
status). New Membership offers, with brand new armor pieces, login rewards and
the Desert Rider event are also part of the grand 15th anniversary celebration!
Included with the anniversary is an all new Game Update which changes the Player
vs Player attack windows on Notum Tower fields, where players battle for
dominance over the planet Rubi-Ka. The update also introduces a new Research
Line for end-game players, with powerful skill increases, and adds new Veteran
Shop rewards with bonus Veteran Points for existing members.

back in 1989 with the original Kick Off.
Pretty blown away by the Game of Thrones season finale last night. The news that
the last two seasons may be cut short is a mixed bag, but the picked up pace is
thrilling, and trying to digest all the events in the episode makes me a little
dizzy. Pretty amazing stuff. Please use the secret text tag if you want to bring
up spoilers in the comments.
