There are
patch notes on
the Bethesda.net Forums outlining changes in a new version 1.5.4 update for
the
Fallout 4 Creation Kit 1.5.4 that aids in the development of mods for
Fallout 4. Responding to
a rash of problems with PC mods
being ripped off with no author's credit when uploaded for consoles, Bethesda
now requires PS4 owners to have a linked Steam account before they can upload
mods for the PS4 edition of the RPG sequel (thanks
Polygon). Here's word:
In preparation for the upcoming PS4 private
mod beta, PS4 Mod support is now available with the latest Creation Kit Update.
Modders, please update to the latest Creation Kit to start uploading your mods
for PS4.
NEW FEATURES AND FIXES
- Uploading mods to Bethesda.net requires Fallout 4
ownership via a Steam-linked Bethesda.net account
- To link your Bethesda.net account, start Fallout
4, select Mods, and log in. This automatically links your Bethesda.net
account to your Steam ID.
- General optimizations and bug fixes
KNOWN ISSUES WITH PS4 MODS
- PC textures are used. Memory and performance
issues may occur. We are working with Sony on optimal texture exporting
support in a future update.
- Sound files are currently not supported. PS4 sound
format is a proprietary format. We are working with Sony on sound file
processing support in a future update.
- PS4 Mod Storage limit is approximately 900 MB at
present. Please do not upload mods larger than 900 MB. We are working with
Sony to increase this limit.
The Closed Beta for PS4 Mods is close to ready. Stay tuned here and follow us
at @bethesdastudios for updates. Note: Modders who have uploaded a PS4 mod to
Bethesda.net will be invited to the PS4 Mods Closed Beta forums to help with
testing.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there, and to everyone else as well. If
you are participating in the festivities, here's hoping that a good time is had
by all, and that everyone's ties fit. I am missing my dad, but I have my own
shout-out, as I am lucky enough to have a great step-dad, who I will call later
to send my love. For those looking for an additional or alternate celebration,
we can turn our attention to
National Martini Day (thanks Neutronbeam). For those who like their martinis
drier than in the provided recipes, I'll share my own tip, which is to shake
some vermouth over the ice and pour it out before adding the gin or vodka.
Though a bit more wasteful. this seems to provide the perfect degree of subtlety
without having to resort to something precious like a mister/sprayer or an
eye-dropper. Enjoy.
R.I.P:
