add-on, Daedalic Entertainment and Funatics bring Vulcano-mountains into play

for cultivation and lush meadows are rare. Only magic spells can be of help,

bitComposer Interactive announces Space Rift, a space sim for Oculus Rift
and HTC Vive. The Spacerift website
has details, though there does not yet seem to be an English option for the
German text, and their YouTube link is generic, so things are still being worked
out. They will have to hurry, as word is this is coming this summer. Here's word
for now: "The action space adventure Space Rift is compatible for all PC Virtual
Reality headsets, such as Oculus Rift and HTC Vive and others. Space Rift is one
of the first science fiction space adventures developed specifically for Virtual
Reality hardware. The new technology guarantees gamers a breathtaking playing
feel. In Summer 2016, the Windows version of Space Rift will first be released
for $19,99 RRP. Only a few weeks later a PlayStation 4 as well as an Android
version will be available."
Focus Home Interactive sends word about their upcoming Martian RPG, saying: " The
Technomancer, the sci-fi RPG set on Mars, releases on June 28 and will be
available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A few days ago the
Gameplay Trailer
unveiled deep RPG mechanics - character evolution, dynamic combat, crafting,
equipment customization, multiple ways to solve quests - as well as a
captivating story where all your choices will have a direct impact on the
destiny of Mars." That trailer was actually released a
month ago, and at that time they set the game's release date as June 21st, so
this announcement represents a one-week delay. The short setback is not
acknowledged, so it's likewise not explained.
This
trailer offers a creepy first look at Deal With The Devil, an upcoming
episodic adventure game Round Table Games Studio is developing using Unreal
Engine 4. This is the first in a series of five trailers, which apparently
combine together to form a puzzle of their own. Here's the explanation: "The
first of five episodes giving insights into the story and background of our
protagonist. Amelia Woods, a woman on a knife-edge, poised between seeking truth
and tranquillity or the abandonment of her own principles and the resulting
plunge into the darker side of herself. Clues across these episodes lead you
deeper into the story of her world, if only you can over it." Continue here to read the full story.
A couple of comments about my overclocking experiments mentioned the black arts
of voltage tweaking and stuff like that, but I was working on a more superficial
level, just playing with increasing clock and fan speeds and stability testing
to take advantage of the headroom in my CPU and GPU. I'm sure I could go further
with more aggressive tweaking, but I'm happy enough with where I ended up. If
you're curious, I have an i5-3570 on an ASUS Sabertooth Z77 mobo with a Gigabyte
GTX 970 video card, and at stock speeds (CPU @ 3.4 GHz burst) the system
scored 9285 on the 3DMark FireStrike demo. Overclocking the CPU to around a 4.2
GHz burst brought that up to 9565 and pushing the 970's core up 140 MHz and the
memory clock up an additional 280 MHz increased that score to 10227. Things are
remaining stable, cool, and quiet with those settings, so I got about a 10
percent improvement for free. That's good timing, because my Oculus Rift should
arrive today, and that initial 3DMark score is right at the minimum specs, so at
least I've built up a little leeway there.
