The Windows edition of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is now available
on Steam, offering an
open-world adventure set on dry land, of all places. Here's their intriguing
introduction to the game: The world ended 37 minutes ago
It is time to begin
Yaughton, Shropshire. 06:37am 6th June 1984.
Deep within the Shropshire countryside, the village of Yaughton stands empty.
Toys lie forgotten in the playground, the wind blows quarantine leaflets around
the silent churchyard. Down on Appleton’s farm, crops rustle untended. The birds
lie where they have fallen.
Strange voices haunt the radio waves as uncollected washing hangs listlessly on
the line. The televisions are tuned to vacant channels. Above it all, the
telescopes of the Observatory point out at dead stars and endless darkness. And
someone remains behind, to try and unravel the mystery.
Immerse yourself in a rich, deep adventure from award-winning developer The
Chinese Room and investigate the last days of Yaughton Valley. Uncover the
traces of the vanished community; discover fragments of events and memories to
piece together the mystery of the apocalypse.
Featuring a beautiful, detailed open-world and a haunting soundtrack,
Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is non-linear storytelling at its best.

Firefly Studios proudly announces that
Stronghold Kingdoms has
registered more than five million players since the launch of this free-to-play
MMOG based on their siege warfare series. "We launched in the very early days of
free to play. A single payment seemed like a pipe dream, let alone five million
players," said Nick Tannahill, Business Development Manager at Firefly Studios.
"At the time MMOs of this type had around a three-year lifecycle and Kingdoms
had its first closed alpha back in 2009. As such its success, particularly with
our conversion and ARPPU which are both far above average for this industry, is
still hard to believe. We can’t wait to release the new redesigned mobile
version on iOS and Android, something players are really looking forward to."

I finally got my other pair of new glasses from my recent eye doctor
appointment. To help contrast the old-man aspects of a my new dedicated computer
glasses, I also got a new pair of sunglasses that appeal far more to the little
boy in me: Aviator frames with mirrored blue lenses. Being perpetually 15
years-old in my mind, it is hard for me to imagine anything cooler, and it's
going to take some willpower to find occasions to wear my regular glasses, even
when indoors. Time to crank up some Corey Hart.
