Titanfall 2
website now offers newsletter signups along with a
new teaser trailer for
Titanfall 2, Respawn's upcoming shooter sequel. They are promising the
first gameplay reveal on June 12th. EA is holding an event at that time, so we
can probably expect other reveals around then too.

Tom Clancy's The
Division. Here's word:
We’re less than a day away from the April 12

quick breakdown of what to expect. First, you’ll get a glimpse of the Falcon
Lost incursion that pits Division Agents against the LMB in water treatment
facility. This battle requires a lot of team coordination and tactics to be
successful against an LMB force that has some new tricks up its sleeve in the
form of drones. The new trailer also gives a glimpse at the new gear sets, Dark

The Sims 4 retains the top spot on the
GFK Chart-Track top 30 chart tracking PC game sales in the U.K. for the week
ending April 9th. Dirt Rally re-enters the chart at number nine as the retail
version has now pulled into stores. The accompanying console debut of Dirt Rally
propels it to number two on the
all platforms chart were Quantum Break leaps in at number one. Here's
a summary of the week's
activity:
Microsoft is crowned No1 for the first time in 2016 with
‘Quantum Break’ sealing top spot.
The Xbox One exclusive is the publisher’s first chart topping title since Halo
5: Guardians landed in November last year. It’s an extremely tight battle for
the crown as racing in just behind is Codemasters’ ‘Dirt Rally’ on Xbox One, PS4
& PC. It’s an impressive debut for the title beating launch week sales of 2012’s
‘Dirt Showdown’ by an impressive 197%. It sits in good company in Codemasters’
popular Dirt series in 3rd place behind ‘Colin McRae: Dirt 2’ and ‘Dirt 3’ for
opening week sales. Ubisoft’s four week run at the top is ended with ‘Tom
Clancy’s: The Division’ (-41%) dropping down to No3. Racing fans are spoiled for
choice this week with the arrival of ‘MXGP 2: The Official Motocross Videogame’
from PQube, the popular bike racing title returns after just over a year at
No17.
A new version of
GZ3Doom is
now available, updating this port of the DOOM engine with support for
stereoscopic 3D, including the Oculus Rift. They also include a couple of
console command recommendations in case the old-school shooter causes discomfort
due to high movement speed, head bob, and other elements. Thanks
Ant via
Mod DB where they warn that this may break support for the Oculus Rift DK1,
so owners of development units should proceed with caution.
We didn't get any snow over the weekend: though shockingly at one point it was
in the forecast. It was still cold and drizzly, and it still is today, but I
think we've probably seen the last snow of the winter. For the record, it is now
10 weeks since the groundhog predicted under six more weeks of winter, but it's
still not really spring. I think I'm beginning to understand why the mayor of
New York
goes around murdering the lying little rodents.
