The Culling is now available
on Steam as an early
access game, offering the chance to jump into the not-too-distant future when
all entertainment will be some form of blood sport.
This post has word that they launched earlier than expected, and offers a
list of what's changed, which is odd for an initial public release. Here is word
on this Jennifer Lawrence-free experience:
As a contestant in the deadly
game of The Culling, you must explore, scavenge items, craft weapons, and build
traps that will enable you to slay your fellow contestants and emerge victorious
before the end of the round. Only with cunning, skill, and a little luck will
you be able to prevail and survive the match.
Unlike add-on modes in open-world survival games, The Culling redefines the
battle royale genre by providing a tightly focused stand-alone experience that
delivers incredible thrills and endless story-worthy moments.
Valve offers the following accounting of the 10 bestselling titles on Steam
for last week: This week there are two fewer XCOM 2s than we're used to, but in
compensation, we get two Far Cry Primals:
- Tom Clancy’s The Division
- Stardew Valley
- Far Cry Primal
- Fallout 4 Season Pass
- Far Cry Primal
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Factorio
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
- SUPERHOT
- The Culling
Happy National Oreo Day! It's been a long time since I've had an Oreo, but
that's not really intentional, and such a prestigious holiday certainly serves
as an excuse to rectify this oversight.
15 Interesting Facts About Oreo Cookies has some trivia to celebrate
the occasion (thanks Acleacius), and here are a pair of related tidbits from
that list: More than 450 billion Oreo cookies have been sold worldwide since
their debut, and if all these were stacked, they could reach the moon and back
more than five times. Happy dunking!
