Solomon talks to Rock, Paper, Shotgun, where the lead designer on
XCOM 2
explains what is being done to address technical issues like framerates dropping
in Firaxis' new installment in the strategy series. He addresses the nonexistent
concern that such problems were intentional, saying: "I can honestly say that we
didn’t know it would be this way at launch." He explains that the problems some
users are encountering did not come up in their testing, but says now that
they've been identified, they are working to address them: "I can’t say dates,
but I would say that we’re working very furiously. We already have a lot of
those issues in our sights." The quotes they offer are part of an interview they
plan on publishing in its entirety soon.

tweet from Mark Darrah offers a poll from the executive producer for the
Dragon Age series gauging interest in a possible
Dragon Age Tactics game

another tweet clarifying what type of game he means, saying "tactics as in a
game like Fire Emblem or XCom." The poll offers respondents four choice: Yes!,
No, Only on PC, and Only Mobile/Handheld.
Some of you commented on my switch a while back from FIOS to cable as part of a
new service bundle, suggesting I would not be happy with that part of the
change. As it turns out, while my service has generally been reliable, I still
get these momentary disconnects that hinder gaming in particular. I'm fed up to
the point where I will order FIOS and give up on the triple-play bundle (our
local politicians botched their negotiations with Verizon, and they don't offer
TV here). You can now say I told you so.
