they are extending support for the zombie game through at least the end of this
year. This trailer
highlights some of the accolades the game has received, and they explain their
plans in the following open letter: Dear Players,
While the launch of Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition is only a few
days behind us, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the support,
feedback, and faith you have shown us. We have received countless words of
encouragement, praise and constructive criticism – I would like you to know we

We are also humbled by the immensely positive reception of the enhanced version

heart-warming. At the same time it is a clear sign that there is still high
demand for that unique Dying Light experience. To make sure that every new or

support for Dying Light at least till the end of this year. We are already
working on new unannounced content, so stay tuned for our future news.
Having said that, this is my personal request to all of you: share your

let us also know where you want to see it headed. We strongly believe in active
collaboration between our design team and you, players who every day fight for
survival in the world of Dying Light.

Ubisoft announces the release of The Lost Tales of Axeoth: Unity, a new free
campaign for all Might & Magic Heroes VII players that comes with a new
version 1.7 update for the strategy sequel. Here's word on what they're up to
here: Today, Ubisoft® released UNITY, the first of two free downloadable
content pieces for the turn-based strategy game Might & Magic® Heroes® VII. For
20 years, Might & Magic Heroes titles have combined a deep fantasy universe with
a complete strategic experience, with a rich RPG progression and a strong story
narrative. UNITY is the first part of The Lost Tales of Axeoth, a free
two-campaign downloadable content piece which brings scripts that were
originally written for Heroes of Might & Magic® IV to life.
In UNITY, players will take control of the Academy faction through the story of
Genevieve Seymour, whose odyssey takes place in a new and unexplored world in
the aftermath of the Reckoning. This event destroyed the world of Enroth and
centenarian knowledge of magic. Genevieve aims to recollect the lost spells and
to create a brand new philosophy of magic: the Theory of Unity. But her quest is
not without pitfalls, as few sorcerers want to give up their precious knowledge.
UNITY features 10 hours of extra gameplay across five new maps, and includes
more than 80 returning characters and creatures from Heroes of Might & Magic IV.
The Lost Tales of Axeoth have been developed as a mod for Might & Magic Heroes
VII, and all the new game elements available can also be used freely by fans to
create their own maps and mods.
The Lost Tales of Axeoth is being developed by Limbic Entertainment, a team of
devoted Might & Magic fans, who are celebrating the franchises’ 20th anniversary
by recreating and updating the fan-beloved Heroes of Might & Magic IV within
Might & Magic Heroes VII.
The Lost Tales of Axeoth: Unity is now available for free as part of the 1.7
update for Might & Magic Heroes VII.
Stardock now offers Mercenaries, the first expansion for Galactic Civilizations
III, adding new content including new Galactic Bazaars to the sc-fi 4X strategy
game. The expansion comes along with a new patch that updates the game to
version 1.6. Here's word on the patch: "Along with this expansion, Stardock is
releasing the v1.6 update to the base game, which is a free update for all
Galactic Civilizations III game owners. Improvements include more detailed match
results, AI improvements, visual updates, and balance improvements." The add-on
is available through the Galactic
Civilizations III Store and
Steam, and here's more
on what it offers: Today, Stardock released Galactic Civilizations III:
Mercenaries. The first expansion to its popular 4X space strategy game adds a
new campaign, Galactic Bazaars, new races, the ability to recruit elite units
with special abilities, new ship parts, and more.
In Mercenaries, players will be able to visit new Galactic Bazaars where they
can hire mercenaries to assist in expanding across the galaxy. With several new
mercenary ships and multiple Bazaars to discover on each map, the expansion
offers hours of unique gameplay.
"Once they’re gone, they’re gone,” said Paul Boyer, Lead Designer of Galactic
Civilizations III. “When a mercenary is hired by a civilization in a game, it is
no longer available to the others. You will need to act quickly and choose
wisely in order to get the best mercenaries and leave your enemies without.”
The campaign for Mercenaries centers around the peaceful Torian race who have
long been enslaved and farmed for their meat by the cruel Drengin. Explore and
discover mercenaries, then hire them to aid in escaping the oppressors. Liberate
the Torians and help them rebuild their shattered civilization while staying out
of reach of the Drengin.
The expansion also includes the Arcean faction and an old favorite from Galactic
Civilizations II, the Torians. The Arceans are an ancient and honorable
civilization of warriors and the Torians are an aquatic species seeking to
escape the slavery of the Drengin. Both races come with new traits, abilities,
and tech trees. Continue here to read the full story.

plans to launch the full game in May: The Solus Project, the unique
single-player, narrative driven adventure with survival elements by Teotl
Studios and GRIP Digital is launching on Steam Early Access and GOG Games in
Development today, 18 February 2016 and will also launch on Xbox One Game

and unnatural dangers lurking around every corner, you will have to unravel the
alien secrets of some seemingly deserted civilization. Are you really alone…?
“The Solus Project is a unique experience. Combining survival and exploration

motivation for the players to continue their journey,” says Jakub Mikyska, CEO

atmospheric extraterrestrial world for people to immerse themselves into," added
Sjoerd De Jong, Creative Director of Teotl Studios.

a trailer, and here's
the plan: An Alpha ‘Sneak Peek’ testing period for Trion Worlds’

Redwood City studio, begins today at 2:00pm PT. Players who want to experience
an early look at the PC game can sign up via the official

Reactor website now.
In an
all-new trailer released today, players can check out Atlas Reactor’s
offbeat characters and the high-tension gameplay that Game Informer calls
“different and wonderful” and MMORPG calls “chess with guns.”
“This game is a big departure from Trion’s previous releases, so the primary
goal of the Alpha Sneak Peek is to get player feedback,” said Peter Ju,
Executive Producer on Atlas Reactor. “Atlas Reactor is a game that defies
categorization, and we’re excited to offer access to a larger group of players
to ensure we’re striking the right balance in terms of both fun factor and
technical stability.”
Atlas Reactor flips tactical team play on its head, combining competitive,
fast-paced action with simultaneous turns in high-stakes, high-risk battles.
Players have the opportunity to outsmart and outgun their fellow Freelancers
with mere seconds to survey the field, coordinate with their team and lock in
their moves, all while watching the action play out all at the same time. By
working together as a team and predicting enemy actions and phases, players must
devise the best strategy to put themselves one step ahead of the enemy and
achieve victory. Continue here to read the full story.

Paradox Interactive announces that winter has come to Cities: Skylines
with the release of the Snowfall expansion for the urban planning game.
This is accompanied by a new patch to update the base game to version 1.3.0,
adding new features, including a map and theme editor to allow modders their own
takes on the game. This
video unashamedly jokes "the wait is snow-ver" in showing off how the
expansion looks, and
this forum post has more details on both Snowfall and the new patch. Here's
word: Paradox Interactive, a unique snowflake among publishers, today
announced that the newest expansion to Cities: Skylines is now available for
aspiring mayor-players everywhere. “Snowfall,” which was released today for
players of Cities: Skylines, adds a flurry of weather-related features to the
game, along with new transportation options and several new winter attractions
to help citizens chill out. A new free patch has also released today, including
a new map Theme Editor to allow modders to alter the very fabric of in-game
reality. Snowfall is available today on Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs for $12.99.
In Snowfall, the difficulty heats up when the city cools down, thanks to a new
in-game temperature reading that will have residents bundling up for warmth when
the weather outside is frightful. Cosmetic weather, including rain and fog, has
been added to Cities: Skylines as part of a free update. Players who own
Snowfall will get to face new challenges such as ensuring that their city
infrastructure can handle seasonal heating demands – and, when the snow starts
falling, that the roads can stay clear. New snowplow services will be required
to prevent traffic from freezing in place, while new all-weather trams and
expanded public transit options can help residents and visitors alike get around
town – and visit the new winter parks and landmarks available in Snowfall. A
detailed list of features included both in Snowfall and in the free patch is
available here:

The Gamekicker website has a countdown
to the March 1st launch of a new crowdfunding service only for video games.
Got a new Logitech G810 keyboard, and it's still taking a little getting used
to, but I love the hardware. I am struggling, however, with what seem to be
copious problems with the software for recording macros and using the lighting
effects, so I am going to have to spend a little more time figuring out if these
are really bugs, or if there's something I'm doing wrong on my end. I may take
advantage of the extra effort I'm putting into working with it to conjure up a
short review, as it could be of use considering this was pretty expensive for a
keyboard.
