Part of the
Roberts Space Industries Roundup we mentioned
last night includes word that as of
February 14th,
Squadron 42 and
Star Citizen will become two
separate packages (thanks Cutter). At that time Squadron 42 will become a
standalone game or an optional add on for Star Citizen, a plan that's apparently
old news to backers of the space combat game(s). Here's word:
At the
December livestream, we announced that Squadron 42 and Star Citizen will be
split into two separate packages in the near future. To update on this: the
split will occur on February 14th. Squadron 42 will be available as either a
stand alone game or an optional addon for Star Citizen rather than be included
by default. If you want to lock in both games for the lowest possible price,
consider pledging before this deadline. You can learn more about Squadron 42,
our thrilling single-player adventure,

A

couple of new environments: the Rust Palace, Azure Mountain, as well as Quiet, a
"new unique character." They are promising more details will come about this on
Monday, saying: "The new DLC is arriving March 2016, we'll have more details on
Monday including a recap of the new DLC info and more." Thanks
GameInformer.
CapCom Unity announces the final beta test is underway for
Street Fighter
V, saying this will run through tomorrow evening. They explain what has
changed since the previous beta session, including balance changes.
The website also has a
new
trailer showing off game modes for the brawler sequel, saying this was just
revealed on stage at the Taipei Game Show. These are the modes that will be
included upon launch, though they also stress post-release
support plans, saying: "Remember, we’ll have tons of free content updates
for the game post-launch as well, including the awesome looking
Cinematic Story Expansion that we just revealed on Monday!" On display
are
the Tutorial, Character Story Mode, Survival Mode, Training Mode, Network Battle
Mode (both ranked and casual), and the Capcom Fighters Network.

Why do modern keyboards still have a Scroll Lock? And if you can manage an
answer to that, I think I can still win by following up by asking if that's so
important that we actually need a light to remind us which way this is toggled?
It's like vestigial hardware.
