Dying Light, adding
the ability to design custom multiplayer maps for the zombie game, such as the
Don't
Drown PvP map.
This post has the latest, and here's the announcement: Today Techland
expanded Steam Workshop’s Dying Light Dev Tools with the cooperation and
player-vs-player functionalities. This free update opens up completely new
creative options for players, who can now design cooperation-based scenarios and
deathmatch maps.
The update launches alongside PvP-focused custom map ‘Don’t Drown’ created by
RabidSquirrel, an active member of the Dying Light community. The map is set in
an island and features ever-rising water level to keep the combatants motivated.
‘Don’t Drown’ has players explore the island and avoid zombies in search for
powerful weapons which they can then use to take on one another.
‘Just like with the main game we’ve been supporting the Dev Tools for almost a
year now, and we’ve already seen amazingly creative stuff from our fans’ – says
producer Tymon Smektała. – ‘We believe the co-op and PvP support can inspire a
new wave of original maps for everyone to enjoy. At the same time, we’re working
hard to bring some the very best custom maps to consoles, and I hope we’ll have
something to announce soon.

The official
website for Homefront: The Revolution reveals plans to release the shooter
sequel on May 17th for Windows and Linux, confirming the date recently
revealed via a Target promotion. A new
"This is Philadelphia"
trailer celebrates the news, and Deep Silver offers the following details on
the plan: Welcome to the real Philadelphia, 2029.
You’ve seen the Resistance wage open guerrilla warfare in the war-ravaged
outskirts of the Red Zone, while the KPA and American collaborators hide and
control the city from the fortified Green Zone. But this, this is Yellow Zone.
The Yellow Zones are the densely populated areas of Philadelphia, where
civilians live in constant fear. A mix of Orwellian police state and ghetto
slum, the People are kept under the heel of oppression through permanent
surveillance, 24-hour propaganda, and an ever-constant military presence.
But even here in the Yellow Zone, the Resistance is at work. Hiding in plain
sight, blending in with the crowd, and weapons concealed until the last possible
moment, the last torch bearers of freedom have vowed to dismantle the KPA
infrastructure here piece by bloody piece.
As a Freedom Fighter in the Resistance, you’ll uncover safe houses and other
tactical locations from which to mount an attack; you’ll disrupt KPA propaganda,
disable their security, and infiltrate and destroy high value targets; you’ll
intervene to save civilian lives, or assassinate high ranking officials… each
action a step forwards to your ultimate goal – Revolution…
Join the Resistance with up to three friends in the Xbox One Closed Beta this
February! Register here on the website to secure your spot, and embark on
different online co-op missions to get your first taste of fighting The
Revolution.
Homefront: The Revolution will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, as well as
Windows PC and Linux, on May 17, 2016. Continue here to read the full story.

It was a wild weekend of tackle football as the NFL playoffs got underway, with
some fine examples of outcomes that would stretch credibility if they were
scripted. Five of us managed to escape the week unscathed in our
playoff
pool, but it's hard to take credit for calling the winners when the outcomes
are so crazy, but luck is part of the equation too. Congrats to fans of the
teams still in the hunt.
