The
Telegraph quotes HTC boss Cher Wang saying preorders for HTC Vive will begin
on February 29th, though a price is not yet being revealed. They also offer a
rundown on the latest version of the virtual reality headsets that was shown off
at CES 2016:
HTC showcased the second generation developer kit, Vive Pre,
at CES in Las Vegas, a signifcant aesthetic departure from the first version
which was launched with much fanfare at last year's Mobile World Congress.
The headset has been redesigned to rest more comfortably on the wearer's face,
with a smaller cage and more stable head strap. HTC said the new design can be
more easily adjusted to users' heads, and can still be worn comfortably by those
who wear glasses.
It also contains an integrated front-facing camera, enabling you to see your
physical surroundings while wearing the headset. This means you could sit down,
eat and continue interacting with others without needing to remove it.

Ubisoft offers 2015 highlights from
For Honor, the
upcoming sword fighting game. As noted by
GameSpot, one aspect of the game discussed along the way is the plan to
include a single-player campaign, since they've previously focused on its
multiplayer component. "One of the big questions we receive is about a solo
campaign," explains producer Stephane Cardin. "We said that we will have a
single[-player] campaign, and I can promise you that we will have a solo
campaign."

Our goal has always been to build Spellweaver into a thriving brand that will
engage and entertain card game lovers for years to come. For us, Steam is not
the the end, it is a new beginning. We will continue to develop the game, to
implement new features and to create new cards as long as there are passionate
players who play it!
This is an event worthy of celebration. So, to answer the calls of our great
community and to complement the release
we are going to introduce SIX NEW CARDS!

Football Manager 2016 continues to kick ass on
GFK Chart-Track's Top 30 chart for U.K. PC game sales for the week ending
January 9th. Things remain pretty stable, as the top five remained unchanged. On
the
all platforms top 40 for the same period things are pretty static too, and
Call of Duty: Black Ops III continues to soldier on at number one. Here's
their summary of all
the activity:
2016 starts the way 2015 ended with ‘Call of Duty: Black
Ops III’ (-68%) still on top in the All Formats Chart.
With no new physical releases until later in the month familiar faces jostle for
position within the Top 10. ‘FIFA 16 (-55%) climbs two places back to No2 moving
ahead of fellow EA title ‘Star Wars Battlefront’(-66%), which is pushed down to
No3. ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (16,360 / -59%) moves up a place to No4 while ‘Fallout
4’ (-75%) slides two places to No5. ‘Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Siege’ (-58%) is a
non-mover at No6 but ‘WWE 2K16’ (-53%) climbs two places up to No7. Square
Enix’s ‘Just Cause 3’ (-66%) is another non move at No8 but ‘Assassin’s Creed:
Syndicate’ (-68%) is down to No9.
A resurgent ‘Battlefield 4’ (-27%) re-enters the Top 10 continuing it’s week on
week climb from the end of last year. It’s propulsion up the chart is fuelled by
the ‘Gen 7’ formats with price promoted versions of both Xbox 360 & PS3
accounting for 97% of sales this week.
Happy birthday
Ant. Thanks as always for all the fantastic help with
interesting links over the years. On a sad front, R.I.P.
David Bowie. I
don't even know what to say about the passing of such a beloved artist. This is
terribly sad news.
