Congrats to the Washington Redskins for winning the NFC East. As my Giants get
knocked out of the playoffs, I have to wonder what the future holds for the
team. We have a QB entering his final window to win, a retooled offense about to
enter its third year, and a head coach who is five years older than the next
oldest coach in the league. Fans are notorious for their certainty about what
their teams should do, but I honestly don't know what I would do at this point
if I had to decide how to best leverage the assets of this organization. I don't
like the idea of hiring a new coach and saddling him with the existing offensive
coordinator, but I don't really want to see Ben McAdoo go either. Seems like if
it's time for Coughlin to retire, they may be forced to promote McAdoo to head
coach and roll the dice that this is a good move. As I say, I don't know what I
would decide if this was my call, so I guess I'm forfeiting my right to complain
if it all goes south.
