The Jack the Ripper DLC for Assassin's Creed Syndicate is now
available, as is a new patch for the latest installment in Ubisoft's
assassination series.
The patch notes have all the details on the new version, and the
UbiBlog has the rest of what you need to know: If you’re playing

included in the $29.99 Season Pass along with a slew of other content. Before
you grab the DLC, however, make sure you download the 1.31 patch (detailed in

Dutch developer Ronimo Games announces Awesomenauts: Overdrive, an upcoming
expansion for Awesomenauts, their 2D MOBA. Most of what's included, including an
overhauled matchmaking system, will be free to all owners of the game, though a
couple of premium characters are also included.
This page has all the details, the
announcement trailer
offers a look, and here's word: Today Ronimo is ready to announce a new
expansion for Awesomenauts, called Awesomenauts: Overdrive! The expansion will
be released in Q1 2016 and includes a massive overhaul of our matchmaking system
and updates to core game mechanics! In addition to these features, Awesomenauts:
Overdrive will add three technologically-advanced characters to the playable
roster, and brings visual improvements to various aspects of the game, including
a complete visual rework of fan-favorite Sheriff Lonestar!
- New Matchmaking
We will introduce a completely new matchmaking system, running on our own
servers, that is more stable and does a better job at pairing players of
equal skill, and prioritizes connection quality. This will end up being more
rewarding for our most veteran players, and be less daunting for new
recruits! Whether you win or lose a match, everybody wins with this new
system.
- Premium Characters
The time-travelling inventor Professor M. Yoolip, hyperbike-riding bounty
hunter Chucho Krokk, and the LUX5000 bot piloted by the twin babies Jimmy
and Amy, are gearing up to join the Awesomenauts. These three Awesomenauts
will form the premium content for the Awesomenauts: Overdrive Expansion and
they will all launch together on Steam in March 2016. Each of them will
receive a Beta phase that’s open for everyone, starting today with a Beta
Professor M. Yoolip! Continue here to read the full story.
WBIE and DC Entertainment now offer Season of Infamy, a new DLC pack for Batman:
Arkham Knight that's included with season passes and is also available for
separate purchase for owners of the comic-inspired action/adventure. A
new trailer shows
off all the content in this December DLC update, and here's an outline: Play
as Batman in the Season of Infamy: Most Wanted Expansion, protecting Gotham City
from an invasion of legendary Super-Villains. Fight back against The Dark
Knight’s biggest foes in four separate missions, with all new story arcs
featuring DC Comics characters The Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, Ra’s Al Ghul and Mr.

Season of Infamy missions include:

as the Super-Villain lures Batman into a demented, hallucinatory battle of
wits across Gotham City and within the pages of a twisted story book.
- Beneath The Surface: The World’s Greatest
Detective and Nightwing venture out to investigate Iron Heights, a flying
airship prison that housed Killer Croc, after it crashed in the waters
surrounding Gotham City.
- Shadow War: Picking up after the events of Batman:
Arkham City, Batman’s devout moral code is pushed to its limits as Ra’s Al
Ghul’s health rebounds with the help of the League of Assassins.
- In From The Cold: Mr. Freeze returns to Gotham
City, where he is immediately entrapped in Arkham Knight’s Militia and
Scarecrow's plan to destroy Batman. Arkham Knight’s Militia has kidnapped

A
Kickstarter update for Torment: Tides of Numenera reveals the beta
version of the RPG will not be released this year as planned (thanks
PCGamesN). In early November inXile
entertainment announced the game's release was being pushed forward into 2016, but
that they had "full intentions" of releasing the beta this year, but that plan
has changed as well. They include a progress reports, and here's word on the
delay, since it was too long for their TL;DR: Chris here. Our team is
continuing to work hard on getting the Beta Test ready to deliver to you.
Torment is in that exciting stage where things are coming together rapidly, and
it's been amazing over the last few months to see so many elements of the game
take shape. We want to continue cleaning up some rough edges so that you can
have the best experience possible. For that reason, we are planning to release
the Torment Beta Test early next year so we can deliver a more polished and
complete Beta Test.
We know that you have been waiting for this, and we want to get the game to you
as soon as we can, but we felt that the Beta version we could bring you would be
that much better with a little more time in development. We appreciate your
patience.
We were quite happy with the release of the Alpha Systems Test, in that it
allowed us to collect useful feedback on even the smallest elements of the game.
We want the Beta Test to be a continuation of that level of collaboration with
our community, while also being a great first hands-on impression for Torment.
And this is going to be a legitimate hands-on. While the Alpha Systems Tests
could be finished in around 20 minutes, the upcoming Beta release will contain
over 10 hours of gameplay on a normal playthrough.

Happy first day of winter/summer, depending on which hemisphere you call home.
That would make it winter here in North America, though this really does inspire
a double-check (Rodgers!) of the calendar, since it's been so warm around here.
In fact, El Niño has it so that I've only worn a real coat twice so far this
season, and one of those it was clearly overkill. This will boil over, so to
speak, on Christmas Eve, when the forecast calls for a high of 70 °F. If it's
going to be a white Christmas around here, it's going to be because of sunblock.
