DICE design director Dan Vaderlind
tweets that now that Star Wars Battlefront has shipped, he is moving on to
his next project. It should probably not be a shock that this will be "the next
Battlefield," so the only question remaining is whether this will be
Battlefield
Bad Company 3,
Battlefield 5,
Battlefield Hardline 2, or The
Sims: Battlefield. Word is: "Now that we've shipped Battlefront and a part of the team
continues to work on it, I am moving on to another project, the next
Battlefield.." On a related note, EA's
recent announcement of a new
"Competitive Gaming Division" included word that they hope to bring Battlefield
to the global esports community. Thanks

I started getting an odd intermittent behavior from the "home" key on my
keyboard, which would occasionally behave like I pressed the "page up" key (yes,
I'm one of those who uses that little six-key array over the arrow keys). I tend
to be hard on keyboards, so I was prepared for the possibility I'd destroyed
another one, but the good news is that on modern keyboards the keys are easier than ever to pry off, and a little investigation showed the home and page up keys
were somewhat stuck together with some gunk (I told you I am tough on
keyboards), and it took about a minute to clean out and get things
working perfectly again. It's rare for things to get easier to fix as they get modernized, so that was pretty cool.
