NeoGAF outlines the procedure for permanently deleting a game from your
Steam software library, for those times when it's not enough to just hide them
in a folder (the folder name one post mentions using is called "shame").
Word is: "From
https://help.steampowered.com, just log-in and select Games, Software, etc.,
select the game from the search function that shows up, and select I want to
permanently remove this game from my account." Thanks

Frozenbyte announces Shadwen, an action adventure they say will bring the
stealth genre "back to its roots after years of gung-ho ridden action blasters
and yearly revisions."
This trailer offers a look at the game and the player it gives the ability
to manipulate time to progress. Here's the announcement: Finnish game
developer Frozenbyte has unveiled its upcoming stealth action adventure game
Shadwen, bringing the stealth genre back to its roots after years of gung-ho
ridden action blasters and yearly revisions.
Shadwen is a true stealth game where the only rule is to remain unseen. Stay
hidden - or the ruthless guards will kill you on sight!
The stealth genre has been in a slump for years. Guns blazing and invincible
heroes is not stealth. Yearly revisions like sports roster updates is a crap way
of doing games," says Lauri Hyvärinen, CEO of Frozenbyte. "Shadwen will bring
the genre back to its roots, with sneaking and hiding the main course of action.
We will also explore the moral consequences of killing through our characters.
Shadwen, an assassin on a quest to kill the king, has a chance encounter with a
little orphaned girl, Lily. She follows Shadwen on her dangerous journey, but
when the ruthless guards get too close, Shadwen must take action right in front
of Lily's eyes. Will she resort to violence and let Lily witness her crimes, or
can she find another way and protect the child's innocence?
To kill or not to kill - that is the question.
== FEATURES ==
- Stay hidden - avoid detection and guards, who will
ruthlessly kill you upon capture.
- Time is an accomplice - time stands still when you
are not controlling Shadwen, allowing you to stop at any point: mid-motion,
during jumps, right before a guard sees you.
- Carefully rewind time to manipulate your past and
present actions to gain an upper hand on the guards. Make precision
movements to nail each move and try different strategies for the ultimate
solution.
- Pick your assassinations carefully. Avoid being
seen, heard or getting caught indirectly. Suspicious sights and noises will
alert the guards - use it to your benefit.
- Sneak and explore around the dark and gritty
medieval province and use the environment to your advantage - use your rope
to grapple onto rooftops, silently drop from ceilings, or veil yourself in
the shadows.
- Use physics and a freely attachable rope to drag
and topple objects. Make deaths look accidental; let gravity do the grave
work.
- Set up traps and hazards to lure guards towards
their untimely demise; discover new ways to eliminate or distract your foes
by crafting items into deadly surprises, including poison traps, spike
devices, smoke bombs and more.
- Lethal and non-lethal solutions - choose your play
style but remember: actions have consequences.
- Become a true god of stealth and protect Lily's
innocence - complete the game with no bodies left behind.

has plastic controller buttons. Continue here to read the full story.

Telltale
announces Batman: A Telltale Games Series, which will offer their episodic
take on the crimefighter next year. This was unveiled during last night's game
awards show, and the following announcement says the video from the show will be
released later this week, but it actually
hit the Internet
instantly, though it really doesn't show anything: Telltale Games, with
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment, today announced an
interactive episodic game series based on DC Comics’ iconic Batman™ that is set
to premiere in 2016. The official title for the Telltale series is yet to be
revealed.
The episodic game series will premiere digitally on home consoles, PC/Mac, and
mobile devices. Specific platform details are yet to be announced.
“At Telltale, we’ve been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive
storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and
we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be exploring what it means to be
Batman in an all-new series starting next year,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder
and CEO of Telltale Games. “This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand
opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the
duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city
overcome with corruption and villainy.”
“Telltale has an established track record of creating award-winning content for
some of the best properties in the world,” said David Haddad, President, Warner
Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “We look forward to working with the team as
they deliver a new interactive way for fans and gamers to experience the rich
narrative world of Batman.”

Double Fine announces Psychonauts 2, saying they are now raising some of
the funds to develop this
through Fig, a
crowdfunding platform launched over the
summer by Double Fine's former COO. In addition to raising capital for the
platformer sequel from
customers, Double Fine says they are supplying "a significant portion" of
funding themselves, are getting cash from an "external partner," and say this
game is the "first in history to also offer investment opportunities for both
accredited and unaccredited investors." The
Double Fine website has more, including a
Psychonauts 2 Announce
Teaser and a Fig
Campaign Pitch Video. Erik Wolpaw is listed as a contributor, but it's not
clear if the former Old Man Murray writer has left Valve Software, or is just
doing contract work, as he was part of the original Psychonauts team before
leaving Double Fine for Valve. Here's the announcement: Standing on stage the
Video Game Awards in Los Angeles tonight, Double Fine Productions President and
CEO Tim Schafer announced the launch of a Psychonauts 2 crowdfunding campaign on
new games crowdfunding site Fig (www.fig.co)
“Our fans constantly ask us to make Psychonauts 2, and often we’ve talked about
doing it” said Schafer “The problem is that through traditional means we’ve
never been able to raise a budget high enough to do it justice. When we
crowdfunded Broken Age in 2012 and broke all the records with the amount we
raised, it really showed me the power of our community, and it made me think…
maybe we can do this, maybe we could make Psychonauts 2 this way!”
Double Fine will be putting up a significant portion of the development funds
ourselves, and getting another piece of the budget from an external partner.
This Fig campaign will make up the third piece of the budget.
“None of these three parts on their own is enough” continued Schafer, “but
together they add up to a sequel worthy of Psychonauts!”

At the doctor's yesterday I was surprised to see the nurse draw a third vial of
blood, as I'm pretty sure I only had to give two of these in the past. I was
going to say that these things look like they hold a few ounces each, and that
the three of them might be as much as a half-pint of blood. Then I thought I
might be off a bit, and sure enough a little quick research suggests
the three vials of blood probably added up to 1.5 ounces at the most. I'm not
someone who is generally bothered by needles or freaked out by blood, but maybe
the whole situation rattled me more that I'm admitting if it inspired that sort
of exaggeration. Anyway, my arm isn't black and blue today, so I figure I'm
ahead of the game.
