Ubisoft forums announces that open beta testing is now underway for
Rainbow Six: Siege,
as they have cleared up
the
issues that caused them to delay things. Word is:
We want to thank
everyone who is participating in this beta. Your feedback helps us improve. For
everyone who hasn’t been able to play as yet, we apologize for the inconvenience
and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
We are proud of what Rainbow Six Siege has to offer and we wish you the greatest
experience possible.
Polygon has a preview of the
System Shock remake that's in the works
at Night Dive Studios. They spoke with the developer about the project, and also
have some screenshots set up with a neat screen-wipe gimmick where you can
compare the visuals of the Unity-engine remake with the original game. "We have
been in contact with members of the original System Shock team and any future
iterations of the System Shock games," Night Dive CEO Stephen Kick explains.
"And by this I mean both new titles in the series as well as major updates to
the existing games, will be very true to the spirit of the originals."
Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating, and here's hoping you have what
to be thankful for even if you aren't. I'm feeling gratitude myself, and that
you are reading these words is part of the reason. We have a pretty low-key
gathering planned at the BlueTower, and I've completed my chores well in advance
of the festivities, so my plans for the rest of the day involve eating,
drinking, and watching tackle football, all causes to be thankful as well.
