This trailer from
Call of Duty: Black Ops III takes a look at the "The Giant" bonus map (I know
it's big, Abbott, but what's the name of the map?) for the futuristic shooter
sequel. Here's word on how this takes a trip back to the future in the Treyarch's zombie side story: "'The Giant' Bonus Map picks up the Zombies story
where Origins left off. Re-live the chaos of Treyarch's classic "Der Riese"
Zombies map with Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo and Richthofen. Set in a World War
II-era research facility, complete with the weapon-upgrading Pack-a-Punch
Machine, Teleporters, and Hellhounds." Activision also offers a new
Juggernog Edition Unboxing
video to show how to open the package when you receive the game, a 26-minute
clip that also contains more footage from The Giant.

The
Roberts Space Industries website has details on a new alpha version 1.3
build of
Star Citizen that's now available for backers of Cloud
Imperium's space exploration and combat game. They offer details on some new
weapons available in the new version, but note that many of the changes in the
patch are "under the hood" as they combine different development streams to pave
the way for their upcoming alpha 2.0 "Mini Persistent Universe" release. They
also offer a
new Development Update with details on their progress towards alpha 2.0 as
well as the Star Marine module. There are other visible changes in alpha 1.3,
however, as they explain in this bit:
In addition to technical work,
today’s patch includes updates to the flight model, a selection of new, larger
guns for Voyager Direct and a variety of other changes.
The patch is currently accessible via the Star Citizen Launcher and a complete
list of release notes (including balance modifications, known issues and other
changes) are
available here.
Congratulations to the Royals on their American League pennant. The
experts seemed convinced we would end up with a Cubs/Blue Jays World Series,
but like the Mets, the Royals would have none of such expertise (in spite of
Jose Bautista's heroic efforts). Here's looking forward to the Series, which is
surprisingly the first ever between expansion teams, in spite of baseball's
first expansion being well over 50 years ago.
