Milestone announces MXGP2, a sequel to their official Motocross Videogame
coming to Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in February 2016 (thanks
Veni Vidi Vici). This
announcement trailer
illustrates the news, and here's the hot word: Milestone s.r.l., Italy’s leading game developer for consoles and PC, and the
world’s foremost developer of games dedicated to the world of motorcycling, is
delighted to announce MXGP2 – The Official Motocross Videogame, scheduled for
launch in February 2016 on Xbox One®, PlayStation®4, and Windows PC®/STEAM™.
The concept guiding the development team working on the new chapter of MXGP is
to bring new life to the pulsating mechanical heart of every true racing fan,
powered by petrol and immersed in dust and mud, forged in the flames of the
furnaces of master mechanics.
Experience the excitement of racing alongside the riders, the teams, and on the
circuits of the 2015 season that have kept spectators glued to their screens
right up to Romain Febvre clinching the world title at the Netherlands MXGP on
August 30. MXGP2 will introduce vehicle and rider customisation, indoor arena
events, and much, much more.
The career mode is present alongside on-line and off-line modes to challenge
players and push their gamepads to the limits, as they race to win the title of
undisputed Motocross champion, standing shoulder to shoulder with leading names
in international Motocross racing, like Ryan Villopoto and eight-time world
champion Tony Cairoli.
Luisa Bixio, the VP at Milestone, says “Motocross is a thrilling and spectacular
sport, bringing together a dynamic, enthusiastic community of fans, who are
always ready to share their ideas for new features and ideas with us." She
continues, "The passion that the development team working on the game are
putting into every detail and the expertise they have built up working on titles
for the current generation of consoles, allows us to create a product that will
satisfy the needs of all Motocross fans." Continue here to read the full story.
Slitherine announces Command: Northern Inferno, a new standalone expansion for
Command Air/Naval Operations, their pausable real-time strategy game.
This trailer offers
a stylized 1970's look at the project, and there are details and other media in
this product section. Here's word: The year is 1975, the Cold War is omnipresent and beneath the veneer of
détente the tension between the two superpowers irreversibly escalate towards
the ultimate confrontation.
As an at-sea "accident" results in the sinking of a Royal Navy frigate and
the Warsaw Pact is mobilizing, events rapidly spiral out of control. The world
is plunging towards another global conflict - but this time, there will be no
post-war recovery, only nuclear disaster.
Do you have what it takes to stand up to Soviet/WP forces and avert
Armageddon?
Command: Northern Inferno is a stand-alone game that uses the latest version
of the Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations (CMANO) engine. It also serves as a
DLC for existing CMANO owners.
For the first time after the release of the most realistic and accurate
modern warfare simulation, the developer, Warfare Sims, has created a
fully-fledged campaign expansion that encompasses 15 scenarios across one of the
most thrilling and intense moments of recent history.
While the campaign is fictitious, every single part of this electrifying set
of scenarios has be meticulously researched to deliver an entirely new
experience to please both novice players and experts. Continue here to read the full story.
The Age of Decadence will begin in about a month, as
this Steam community announcement has the news that the role-playing game
has "4 weeks until release," as of Thursday (thanks
RPGWatch via Acleacius). They say there
will be new beta builds weekly between now and then, and offer the patch notes
for the latest update. Here's a refresher on the game, describing developer Iron
Tower Studio's ambitions to create something different: The Age of
Decadence is an isometric, turn-based, single-player role-playing game set in a
low magic, post-apocalyptic fantasy world, inspired by the fall of the Roman
Empire. The game features a detailed skill-based character system, multiple
skill-based ways to handle quests, choices & consequences, and extensive
dialogue trees.
Traditionally, many fantasy RPGs are about killing things, clearing up dungeons,
and being a hero. Now, there is nothing wrong with mindless fun and wish
fulfillment, but we serve a different meal here.
This trailer from
the Tokyo Games Show offers a look at Mirror's Edge Catalyst, mostly using
cinematics from the upcoming parkour action sequel. The clip is presented on a

Square Enix announced at the Tokyo Game Show Square the cancellation of Final
Fantasy Agito,
reports Siliconera (in spite of
it being out in
Japan), saying the new plan is to release a game called Final Fantasy
Type-0 Online for Windows and Smartphones. They offer some screenshots, and
say this "will be like Final Fantasy Type-0’s multiplayer mode, but a more
evolved form, and in hack-and-slash fashion." This is being developed by Chinese
online game specialist Perfect World, and while they are considering bringing
this westward, for now this is only planned for launch in Japan, where it is
expected in the spring.
