Mighty No. 9 is delayed until next year after previously being expected this
fall, reports
GameInformer.com, suggesting developer Comcept is resisting officially
announcing this for fear of further disrupting their
RED ASH Kickstarter. The release date listed by e-tailers for the
crowdfunded Mega Man-inspired game shifted, and GameInformer took advantage of
contacts at parent company GameStop to confirm that such changes are
publisher-driven, saying: GameStop (Disclosure: GameStop is Game
Informer’s parent company) tells us on background that notification of delays
such as this one are initiated by the publisher. This includes placeholder dates
that are put in place when a game is first listed or, in this case, delayed.
This indicates that the 2016 placeholder was driven by Deep Silver and Comcept,
both of whom we've reached out to for comment.
Deep Silver declined to comment on the matter and Comcept did not return our
request for a statement by publication. We’ll update should either get back to
us.
Patch 1.08 Notes are now available for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, revealing
plans for the next update for CD Projekt RED's RPG sequel. This will help
prepare for their upcoming Game + feature and also includes a number of fixes
and tweaks, including: "Overall improvements to performance, including some
issues that may have been caused by 1.07." Thanks
DSOGaming.
A new patch is now available for Assetto Corsa
on Steam, updating the
VR-friendly racing game (currently on sale for half-off) to version 1.2.
This change log has complete details on the patch, while the
accompanying post has details on a new free content pack also now available
for the game: New Content
Regarding the selection of the new cars, the Alfa Romeo Mito Quadrifoglio Verde
joins the fight versus the 500 Abarth EsseEsse and can also teach a thing or two
against some older RWD machinery; the Audi Quattro is a legendary car so loved
by car enthusiasts. The Audi had over 300bhp and 4 wheel drive in the mid 80s. A
tuned step1 version with locked differentials and more power has been added to
satisfy the hardcore car enthusiasts! The Lamborghini Miura SV is the first
Lamborghini model officially added in Assetto Corsa. It defined the term
supercar back in the 60s and now we give you the opportunity to drive this
million value piece of car history. The Toyota GT86 is a very balanced car, and
for this reason, maybe is one of the most wanted model included in the new
package. This car has been developed in cooperation with RSR Nurburg, that knows
each single secret of this modern hachi-roku (eighty six), a car that makes
every car enthusiast yell with excitement and every tyre tremble with fear. The
Nissan GT-R Nismo introduces in Assetto Corsa the active central differential
and it's the second 4WD car now available after the Alfa Romeo 155 DTM.
The Circuit of Zandvoort, a well-known motorsport race track located in the
dunes north of Zandvoort, Netherlands, is the latest addition of the new build:
the circuit gained popularity because of its fast, sweeping corners such as
Scheivlak as well as the "Tarzanbocht" (Tarzan corner) hairpin at the end of the
start/finish straight. Tarzanbocht is the most famous corner in the circuit.
Since there is a camber in the corner, it provides excellent overtaking
opportunities. It is possible to pass around the outside as well as the easier
inside lane.
Steam News announces
the official release of
Dream, which is now out of Early Access, offering a 20% launch discount. The
launch trailer came
out a couple of weeks ago, and
this post details the changes in the release version. Here's a rundown:
"Dream is an exploration game that takes place within the subconscious mind of
Howard Phillips, a young man whose waking hours are tedious and dull, but whose
dreams are lucid and powerful." Continue here to read the full story.
Cosmonautica for Windows is now available
on Steam, offering what
indie developer Chasing Carrots calls "a different kind of space sim,"
which offers a "funky blend of The Sims and Elite." This is also available for
mobiles, and offers cross-platform support. There are two oddities for
now, one is that their announcement says OS X and Linux versions are offered,
but we don't see them, and they also note that the game should be carrying a
launch discount, and they are working with Valve to get this worked out. A new release
trailer offers a look at the game, and here's the announcement: Start
the thrusters, chart a course and get in the captain’s chair as award-winning,
screwball space simulation game Cosmonautica from independent video game
developer Chasing Carrots launches on Steam (PC/OSX/Linux) for $14.99 and mobile
(iOS/Android) for $6.99. A wacky and humorous space game that combines elements
of trading and crew simulation, Cosmonautica has players start to captain a
washed-up space cruiser as they explore a universe filled with colorful
characters and funky space tunes.
Cosmonautica releases with detailed and amusing simulation gameplay that users
can play at home or on the go thanks to cross-platform play. With a myriad of
player feedback from a stint in Early Access, Cosmonautica launches with a bevy
of new content, including new game missions, a variety of spaceships and
improved gameplay.

their award-winning 4X space-strategy game. They offer a 20-second
amplified reality teaser
trailer as well as an
interactive video to show off the new game, which will make its official

and then. Here's word: Following a huge community effort to uncover

Gamereactor UK has first details on Worms WMD, a new installment in Team17's
strategy series based around surprisingly well-armed invertebrates, noting that
their new conflict will include tanks to drive and buildings to enter. They have
a preview
along with a video interview discussing the project and showing snippets of
gameplay. They also offer some excerpts with the first details on the game,
which remains true to its hand-painted 2D roots, though they are redesigning the
worms for a slightly new look. "This new worm, he's all new, he is a redesign.
We're looking for something that looks a bit more contemporary, something that
looks a bit more modern," explains Team17 creative manager Kevin Carthew. "The
two art styles are purposefully contrasting; the landscape looks like hand
painted images, the worm looks a lot simpler, clean lines. He's a little bit
more angular. And that's intentionally done because it makes it visually more
easy to read for the player. It's obvious what should be the landscape, and what
are the interactive elements."

Some very preliminary talks have taken place about doing some tweaking to the design here,
something I like to consider every ten years or so, whether it seems needed or
not. Things I would like to accomplish include turning the rarely used side menu
to drop-down top menu, consolidating all the other side-content and ads into a
single side column, and getting the site to work a little better on smartphones. While change can be
jarring, I think all that can be accomplished without significantly harming the
look and feel of the site, while still making it a bit less clunky. History
suggests that further progress on such an undertaking will be slow (if not
nonexistent), so there
should be adequate time to offer feedback on the plan. Feel free to chime in.
