multiple times? We’ve got something coming up…

TaleWorlds Entertainment announces the various games in their Mount & Blade
series of action/RPG/strategy games have now surpassed over six million copies
sold. They also announce plans to show off Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
next week at Gamescom, saying new information about it will be released to the
public while the game itself is shown off to the press behind closed doors.
Bannerlord was actually
announced almost three years
ago, but we haven't heard much about it since then. Here's word:
TaleWorlds Entertainment will be revealing Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
for the first time at Gamescom 2015 in Cologne. Media will be invited to attend
private viewing sessions of live gameplay from the game in its current state.
Video and additional information about the game will be released to the general
public concurrently, satiating some of the massive player demand for information
on the new entry to the franchise.
The series, which has until now accumulated over 6 million unit sales, is a
favourite among players, much loved for its refreshing sandbox gameplay that
centres around player freedom. This next instalment takes place 200 years before
Warband but brings the series forward by greatly expanding gameplay in all areas
and offering much improved visuals.

Valve has closed up a Steam security hole that allowed for the hijacking of
user accounts with minimal effort, which caused temporary account loss for some prominent
streamers and DOTA 2 pros, reports
Kotaku Australia (thanks
VG247). As this video
demonstrates, this involved simply entering a blank in place of a required
security response code, making it a trivial matter to hijack any account only by
knowing a user's name. Valve says this resulted from a bug which was active
between July 21-25 which has now been fixed. Here's Valve's statement on the
matter: To protect users, we are resetting passwords on accounts with
suspicious password changes during that period or may have otherwise been
affected. Relevant users will receive an email with a new password. Once that
email is received, it is recommended that users login to their account via the
Steam client and set a new password.
Please note that while an account password was potentially modified during this
period the password itself was not revealed. Also, if Steam Guard was enabled,
the account was protected from unauthorised logins even if the password was
modified.
We apologise for any inconvenience. Continue here to read the full story.
Uppercut Games announces Submerged will emerge onto Steam on August 4th
with a launch discount, offering a combat-free, third-person exploration game set in a mysterious flooded city.
This trailer offers
a look, and here's word on the game: Submerged is a third-person
combat-free game in which you explore a mysterious flooded city and discover the
beauty of desolation in vast outdoor environments. You take on the role of Miku,
a young girl who has brought her wounded brother to the city in their small
fishing boat. Navigate the flooded city streets by boat, scale the drowned
buildings, and use your telescope to scour the city for the supplies needed to
save your dying sibling. As you explore the city at your own pace, you encounter
the habitat that flourishes in this colorful place and discover hidden objects
that piece together the story of a broken world and a broken family.
The award-winning game will be released to PC globally on August 4 via the Steam
store. The PlayStation®4 version will be made available to the Americas on
August 4 and to Sony of Europe regions on August 5. The Xbox One version will be
made available via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program on August 7.
“We are very excited to be bringing a new kind of combat-free game experience to
consoles and PC," said company co-founder Ed Orman. "It’s been great to see
people who’ve had a chance to preview Submerged really get into the idea of
exploration and relaxation." Continue here to read the full story.
This video shows
off an unannounced, unreleased game labeled " Deep 6" thought to be an underwater
shooter in development at Metro developer 4A Games before being cancelled by THQ. Hard to
figure how this turned up, the description from uploader BananaSwag reads" "Weird demo
I found on my hard drive."
VG247 has contacted former THQ executive Danny Bilson with questions about
this which are so far unanswered. Continue here to read the full story.
The Sims 4 is still number one on
GFK Chart-Track's Top 30 chart of the bestselling games in the U.K. for the
week ending July 25th. The chart seems pretty static right now, but Dragon
Age: Inquisition has re-entered at number eight. On the
all platforms chart Rory McIlroy PGA Tour remains above par at number
one and there are no new or returning entries in the top 30 of the 40 titles
covered. Here's the
write-up: Rory McIlroy PGA Tour (-56%) takes a second week at the top
of the All Formats Chart.
There are no new releases this week so it is pretty much just a shuffling of the
pack. Warner climb 2 places with ‘Lego Jurassic World’ (-8%) and Warner are also
No3 with ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ (-28%). Codemasters’ ‘F1 2015’ drops 2 places
to No4 (-55%) and Take 2 stay at No5 for a fourth week in a row with ‘GTA V’ –
unit sales on this title have been gradually increasing for the past 3 weeks
(+8%).
Last week’s second biggest new release ‘God of War III: Remastered’ by Sony for
PS4 drops 6 places to No15 (-37%) and Ubisoft’s ‘Trials Fusion: The Awesome Max
Edition’ enters the Chart at No37 (+70%) having debuted last week outside of the
Top 40.

this is not the most used feature on the site, this was not intended or
