Blizzard announces the Grand Tournament expansion for Hearthstone
is coming next month to the Windows, OS X, and mobile strategy game, adding 132
new virtual cards, as well as new spells, weapons, and more. Here's a bit:
Polish your armor, shoe your steed, and sharpen those lances—The Grand
Tournament, Hearthstone’s second expansion, is about to make its triumphant
debut!
A Heroic Gathering
Knights of all shapes and sizes from far and wide come together at the Grand
Tournament to complete for fame and glory! Years ago, the Argent Crusade started
the tournament as a way to find champions fit to take on Azeroth’s greatest
villains. Now that the Frozen North is less perilous (and a tad bit warmer), the
Grand Tournament has a playful side to it. Ogres, Pirates, Dragons, and even
Murlocs have sent their finest Knights, ready to strut their stuff and show what
they’re made of—all in the name of fun!
132 New Cards
The Grand Tournament bolsters the expanding Hearthstone library with 132 new
cards, introducing all-new spells, weapons, and a retinue of Azeroth’s most
renowned Champions ready to join your cause. Here’s a taste of what you can
expect when you step into this Grand Tournament!
Become Inspired
The Grand Tournament stands as a shining beacon of friendly competition,
emboldening your Hearthstone collection with an impressive procession of
knightly prowess. Hearthstone’s newest minion keyword – Inspire – activates
after your Hero Power is used. Utilizing your Hero Power while a minion with
Inspire is on the board will result in one of any number of effects, a few of
which can be seen below!
The Call of Duty: Black
Ops III website now offers word that beta testing for the Windows
edition of the upcoming military shooter sequel will begin on August 26th. The
Xbox One beta begins then as well, which is a week after testing commences on
the PlayStation 4. You can get in my preordering, though they warn in a FAQ that
"Each retailer will have a limited supply of Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta
codes, and will be available while quantities last." They also further define
the scope of testing, which sounds like it will only run for four days: PlayStation
4 owners get access to the multiplayer beta first starting on Wednesday, August
19 and will continue through Sunday, August 23. Then, the following week on
Wednesday, August 26 the beta will make its debut on Xbox One and PC and run
through Sunday, August 30. During the beta, fans will have an opportunity to try
the new momentum-based, chained movement system, find the perfect Specialist to
fit their play style, get a feel for the new multiplayer maps, and more. Actual
platform availability and launch date(s) subject to change.

Dustin
Browder tweets that Blizzard plans to add hero bans in Team League matches
in Heroes of the Storm. This is not about banning players, but rather is
to allow each teams to earmark heroes that can't be selected by either team for
their current match. There's no word if they are also considering adding bans
for Hero League matches as well, which would be complicated by getting a
consensus from a pick-up team. Word is: "@BababooeyHots Will add bans after
further testing of two ban system you see in our esports. Thanks for playing.
=)." Bababooey! Bababooey!
Phil Spencer

InnerSphere pilots who reside outside North America." Here's the plan going
forward: The expansion of the server center was completed in just over
two months by the dedicated team at Vancouver-based Piranha Games tasked with
