The DOOM E3 2015 gameplay
trailer we just added to our earlier

"Coming Spring 2016." Continue here to read the full story.
Bethesda ended tonight's presentation showing off Fallout 4, their
upcoming RPG sequel. This highlights how far along things are, as they show off
the character creation system, how SPECIAL traits are assigned, and other
gameplay elements. They also show off some gameplay, and highlight the
capabilities of the new graphics engine. They say this most ambitious game
environment they've ever made, including the ruins of downtown Boston. They also
show off the actual Pip-Boy that will be included in a collector's edition,
which includes second screen functions, which will also be available on mobile
devices (they also showed off a new free mobile Fallout spin-off game which
should be available this evening). The complete the Fallout demonstration by
showing a new crafting system to allow you to scrap items to create items and
structures for an environment more to your post-apocalyptic liking,
demonstrating seemingly endless combinations of weapons and armor, saying all
that effort is to support all the effort they put into the combat system. They
capped off the festivities saying the game will be released on November 10th of
this year.

Bethesda Softworks' E3 presentation is now underway on
Twitch and
YouTube, and their
first new revelation is the announcement of DOOM Snapmap for the upcoming return
to DOOM. They call this a
way for players to easily create "intricate" maps on the fly with no previous
experience, offering the ability to share maps for id's upcoming shooter sequel

Bethesda has apparently accidently revealed one of their E3 announcements in
advance of this evening's pre-E3 stream, as
Kotaku has a recording of Raph Colantonio and Harvey Smith discussing plans
to unveil a follow-up to Dishonored, Arkane Studios' assassination game.
The revelation came while they were rehearsing spontaneous banter for
on Twitch before being informed this
was streaming live. Bethesda is playing it cool with a "we meant to do that
tweet, which
says: "Twitch test a success. Tune in tomorrow night at 6:45 pm PT for more
surprises. #BE3." Their presentation is officially scheduled for 10:00 pm EDT
tonight on Twitch and
YouTube.
Starbreeze reveals they are working on their own entry in the presumably
emerging market for virtual reality hardware, as
GameInformer has first-hand impressions of playing a demo of Starbreeze's
upcoming Walking Dead shooter played on a prototype Project StarVR
headset. These are being made in cooperation with InfinitEye and the demo also
utilized a gun peripheral from Trinity VR based on a concept they
once floated on Kickstarter. They note the main differences between what
they saw and the VR headsets from Valve and Oculus Rift is that Project StarVR
features a 5K display with a 210-degree field of view for enhanced peripheral
vision. They mention issues with pixelation and the screendoor effect, but offer
reasonably positive impressions of head tracking and aiming, though they note
the demo was a rail shooter featuring a character in wheelchair.
