Oculus Rift Controller & Xbox Partnership Announced

The Oculus Rift website has details on a new controller setup unveiled for the virtual reality setup that includes wireless hand tracking, saying: "We’ve created Oculus Touch, a new pair of tracked controllers that let you take your VR games and experiences further than ever before." Also, Xbox and Oculus announce a partnership to bring VR to the Xbox One which also addresses how they plan to support the headsets in Windows 10, saying an Xbox One controller will be included with every Rift. Here's word:

Windows 10 is the best platform for playing games on the Oculus Rift. The Rift will work natively with Windows 10 to make it easy to set up, jump in, and have an incredible VR gaming experience. Combined with Direct12 technology that unlocks the full capabilities of new Windows 10 graphics hardware, made-for-VR games on Windows 10 will have the fastest frame rates and top performance.

Above all, we want to give gaming fans choices. Windows 10 is an open ecosystem that includes boundless opportunities for alternate realities, which is why we see the virtual reality of Oculus Rift as a perfect complement to the mixed reality offered by Microsoft HoloLens.

Shadow Warrior 2 Announced

Devolver Digital follows yesterday's teasing with the official announcement of Shadow Warrior 2, a sequel from Flying Hog Studio to their recent reboot of this first-person shooter series launched by 3D Realms back in the 20th century. This is coming to Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in 2016, and the plan is to show off the game at next week's E3 Expo. Shadow Warrior 2 website is online (though a little glitchy at the moment), and this announcement trailer (NSFW) accompanies this announcement:

Independent developer Flying Wild Hog (Shadow Warrior, Hard Reset) and rogue game publisher Devolver Digital (The Talos Principle, Hotline Miami) have announced Shadow Warrior 2, a striking follow-up to the global best-selling first-person shooter Shadow Warrior for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Shadow Warrior 2 marks the triumphant return of Lo Wang and his trademark use of blades, bullets, and a sharp tongue to strike down the demonic hordes – but this time he’s not going at it alone.

“The incredible reception of Shadow Warrior from both longtime fans and gamers new to the series was overwhelming,” said Michal Szustak, Studio Director at Flying Wild Hog. “Shadow Warrior 2 will expand on and improve every element that made the original so unique and strike a balance between classic FPS action and modern design.”

Shadow Warrior 2 is the stunning evolution of Flying Wild Hog’s offbeat first-person shooter following the further misadventures of former corporate shogun Lo Wang. Now surviving as a reclusive mercenary on the edge of a corrupted world, the formidable warrior must again wield a devastating combination of guns, blades, magic and wit to strike down the demonic legions overwhelming the world. Battle alongside allies online in four-player co-op or go it alone in spectacular procedurally-generated landscapes to complete daring missions and collect powerful new weapons, armor, and arcane relics of legend.

“While the game is busting with stunning visuals and exquisite combat, it’s the near constant barrage of Wang jokes that is going to move product,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “The kids love thinly veiled dick jokes. Love ‘em.”

Blood Bowl 2 in September

Focus Home Interactive announces September 22nd is the official release date for Blood Bowl 2, saying the fantasy-themed sports game will arrive on that date for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One and that this represents a delay of "a few weeks" from their plan to release it this month, though a few months is more accurate. They offer a new campaign trailer with a look at the game, and the following announcement with a few new details:

After an introduction to the Chaos and Human teams in their gameplay videos, Blood Bowl 2, the sequel to the video game adaptation of Games Workshop’s famous board game that combines American football with the fantasy world of Warhammer, reveals its release date, two additional races, and a new video dedicated to its solo campaign!

We can now officially announce that Blood Bowl 2 will be releasing September 22 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game was delayed by a few weeks compared with its initial release planned this June, in order to ensure that players would enjoy the most polished foundations possible for the next generation Blood Bowl experience. As a thank you for your support and patience, players will receive an extra Blood Bowl 2 race (including its own AI, design, skills, and their Star Players): the Lizardmen or the Wood Elves during pre-order campaign on consoles and PC. PC players who will pre-order the game on Steam will also be able to enjoy the multiplayer beta demo a few weeks before the release of the game.

More information is coming soon with regards to the pre-order bonuses and the different offers available, but until then, enjoy a video outlining Blood Bowl 2’s campaign game mode.

Blood Bowl 2’s campaign is a complete, story driven experience with various mechanics and twists-and-turns that won’t be found in any of the other game modes in Blood Bowl 2. The first few matches provide new-comers with all the basics of how to play, with a plot played out through cut-scenes designed with the game's new engine to pave the way for Blood Bowl’s central narrative.

Here, you’ll be granted the opportunity to raise your team and enjoy all the central mechanics of single-player league play, tightly woven around the fabricated lore of this venerable franchise.

Blood Bowl 2 will be releasing September 22 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Logitech's $400 Racing Wheel

Logitech announces plans for the G920 force feedback racing wheel for Xbox One and PC and the G29 for the PlayStation 4, saying they expect to release the PS4 version next month and the PC/Xbox One version in October. These are clearly intended as high-end peripherals, as the $399.99 price tags make them at least as expensive as the consoles they support, and they include premium features such as steel pedals, a nonlinear brake pedal, a dedicated clutch, and steel paddle shifters, though a six-speed gearshift will be an optional additional peripheral. Here's word:

Realistic Force Feedback
Engineered with dual-motor force feedback, the Logitech G920 Driving Force realistically simulates the feel of weight shift, road conditions, and tire wear, so you can sense under- or over-steering, traction loss and more. With helical gears modeled after the gearing used in real world car transmissions, you get exceptionally smooth, quiet and precise steering action. Anti-backlash hardware also keeps the wheel and pedal input tight to maximize control.

Durable Design
Built to last, the Logitech G920 Driving Force features solid steel ball bearings in the wheel shaft, anodized aluminum spokes, and stainless steel paddle shifters and pedals. High-quality, hand-stitched leather gives the Logitech G920 Driving Force the look and feel of a high-performance racecar wheel, and ensures a more comfortable and durable user experience. Additionally, built-in clamps and bolt points allow you to securely mount the wheel to a table or racing rig to minimize shifting or wobbling during aggressive maneuvers.
