Open Source MAME

A tweet from MAME announces this popular emulator software is going open source, saying: "MAME is going open source, if you have contributed in past and we still did not contact you please contact us at mamedev@mamedev.org." Gamasutra has more on the plan after chatting with MAME engineer Miodrag Milanovic. "There was intention to do this for years," Milanovic tells them. "Our aim is to help legal license owners in distributing their games based on MAME platform, and to make MAME become a learning tool for developers working on development boards."

Legends of Eisenwald in July; New Trailer

Here's a new cinematic video for Legends of Eisenwald, the strategy/RPG from Aterdux Entertainment currently in Early Access on Steam in advance of a full release for Windows on July 2nd. Here's a bit on the game: "Legends of Eisenwald is an old school RPG with elements of strategy and turn-based combat. Gather your troops and embark on a dangerous journey to carve your name into the legends of the grim lands of Eisenwald where all the supernatural superstitions of medieval times are found to be true."
