Five Nights at Freddy's 4 & Fan Theories

The Scott Games website has a teaser image for what would seem to be Five Nights at Freddy's 4. This shows an animatronic bear, and the caption "The Final Chapter 10.31.15," suggesting a Halloween release. If that seems like all there is to this, you aren't looking as hard as some readers on reddit who have a whole theory on the game's setting that's explored in this Kotaku post and this follow-up post, which show the complex clues that leads to the conclusions drawn. Thanks nin.

Creative Assembly announces the release of the beta version of the Assembly Kit, their mod tools for Total War: ATTILA. Here's a trailer showing off the beta, and here's word on how to access it:

Official mod tools for Total War: ATTILA are available now. The new Assembly Kit can be downloaded as a beta via the Tools menu in ATTILA owners’ Steam Library, and will be immediately familiar to modders of SHOGUN II and ROME II. The most extensive Assembly Kit yet offers the following tools:

  • BOB: enables processing of raw data such as textures, models and animations.
  • TeD: enables the creation of individual battlefields for land, sea and sieges.

Grand Theft Auto V FOV Mod Bans

The Grand Theft Auto V PC subreddit has posts from users who have found themselves banned from playing Grand Theft Auto V due to the use of mods. There is some confusion about what constitutes a bannable offense, as they say that cosmetic mods are allowed. Rockstar is not being more specific about what is not allowed, but there are a bunch of reports from users banned for using mods that expand the player's field of view, so users should be very cautious about what modifications they choose to install. Thanks VG247.

Word is: "GameRanger now automatically supports the Steam version of X-Wing Alliance (the disk and GoG versions were already supported). The same applies to X-Wing vs TIE Fighter."

Hatred in June

The Destructive Creations website announces a June 1st release date for Hatred, their upcoming shooter already notorious for its AO rating. The announcement is accompanied by a "Human Shields" gameplay trailer and the confession that they are pushing back from a planned May 19th release because they anticipate being too caught up in playing The Witcher 3 at that time. Here's word:

We wish to announce Hatred's release date, it's set for June 1st, this year of course. ;)

For 99% it's a final release date, as the game is almost complete at the moment, we're on the final polishing stage. Fun fact is that we wanted to release it on May 19th, but our team will be occupied with playing The Witcher 3 at the time. :D

Along with this great news, we wish to present you the last gameplay trailer. It contains intense footage of our gameplay, we're showing much more than we ever did. We hope you'll like it and spread it on the web.
