Sinister Design announces that Telepath Tactics is now available on
GOG.com and
Steam, offering a
"thinking man's RPG." Here's word: Telepath Tactics calls itself a Fire
Emblem-style RPG (with a bit of Disgaea and Super Smash Brothers), that means a
thinking man's RPG. That means strategy, strategy, strategy. Telepath Tactics
throws you into a steampunk fantasy universe with enough steam-powered
mechanical golems, armored praying mantises, and floating disembodied heads to
keep you on your feet. Your tactical possibilities are clear and unprecedented:
build bridges, destroy landmasses, chuck a few of your enemies off cliffs, or
just explode all things with steaming lava. The game also features 2-6 player
local multiplayer, and a robust map/campaign editor for that good ol' fashioned
never-ending-gameplay.
Matrix Games announces the release of Brother Against Brother: The Drawing of
the Sword, a turn-based wargame recreating opening battles of the American Civil
War. This video offers a
livestream with more than a half-hour of gameplay, and the game and a bunch of
scenarios are all available from
this page. Word is: "Thanks to years of primary research and unique access
to some materials previously unavailable to game-designers, the latest wargame
from developer Western Civilization Software offers an incredible level of
detail and accuracy: battlefields, units, weapons and orders of battle have been
recreated with a rare passion. Only those players who are able to coordinate the
movements of their divisions and maintain cohesion at every level of their army
will have the chance to avoid seeing their men retreating from the battlefield!" Continue here to read the full story.

Developer Lightbulb Crew offers a
new cinematic trailer
from Games of Glory, saying their MOBA will come to Steam early this summer,
and that they will pin down a specific release date in the coming weeks. Here's
word on the game, and the shooter mechanics it brings to the genre: "Games of
Glory offers distinctive multiplayer online gameplay that features the battle
arena game style while implementing the action, equipment, perks, and
skill-based gameplay of popular Shooter titles. Players must work together with
their respective teams to conquer their opponents through a variety game modes
with objectives such as destroying their rival's bases or annihilate key
players. In Games of Glory, players cannot take a single victory or defeat for
granted as each battle will affect the outcome of this living,
persistent-universe." Continue here to read the full story.
Indie developer Drowning Monkeys announces a June 1st release date for
Dungeon Crawlers HD on Steam, which will offer Windows gamers this
turn-based RPG already available for iOS. This adds a layer of Ghostbusters
satire to a dungeon romp, already taking the "who ya gonna crawl" joke this
suggests. This is shown off
in this
trailer, and here's further explanation: Dungeon Crawlers HD (DCHD)
is a hysterical take on who the Ghostbusters would have been in the medieval
times with action and gameplay inspired by some of the best Tactical RPGs. DCHD
is a smart, streamlined Turn-based RPG that is easily accessible for new players
while offering a deadly challenge to hard-core veterans of this genre. DCHD has
the combat to keep you captivated, the loot to satiate even the most covetous
treasure addicts, and the laughs that will keep you coming back for
more. Continue here to read the full story.

Stainless Games announces a delay to Carmageddon: Reincarnation, saying
the road rage remake is now expected on April 23rd, after
just last month announcing
it was due next week. Here's word: As you all know, we’d set our release
date as the 23rd April. Well, despite all our best efforts (and believe us, the
dev team have been working around the clock 24/7 to achieve this goal) we’re
announcing today that we’re pushing that date out by what is technically
referred to as "a tad".
The new date for the Full Release of Carmageddon: Reincarnation is 21st May
2015.
We’ve been making great strides on all fronts, and were within a metric smidge
of releasing next week, but in our final "Go/No Go" meeting we all agreed that
the extra time was needed. The additional month gives us time to polish various
areas of the game even further.
We know that many of you have expressed the opinion that you’d rather we brought
you a better game than release too soon. And we agree!
Plus, we can confirm there will also be a further update to the Early Access
build before 21st May, which will feature numerous improvements to the game.
So, stick the 21st May into your Carmageddon desk diary and remain in a state of
fevered readiness... And we'll see you in the Multiplayer lobbies come that
glorious day. Thanks again to all our Carmafans for your continued patience and
support!
CD Projekt RED Announces
The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is gold, and the eagerly anticipated RPG sequel
is on track for its most
recent May 19th release date. Here's the news: “We worked so damn hard
over the past three years to bring you this game,” said Adam Badowski, Head of
Studio, CD PROJEKT RED. “From the corrupt nobles in Novigrad to ancient monsters
lurking in deep forests, to the bustling cities, colorful ports and breathtaking
vistas; all the people, all the places -- we literally spent tens of thousands
of hours to turn all that into an adventure that will kick your ass and make you
want to come for more,” adds Badowski. “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has gone GOLD
and will soon be yours!” he concludes.
Garnering over 200 prestigious awards before launch, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is
CD PROJEKT RED’s most ambitious endeavour up to date. Set within a truly open
world, the game puts you in the role of a wandering bounty hunter and monster
slayer, Geralt of Rivia. In The Witcher, you take on the greatest contract of
your life -- tracking down the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter
the shape of the world.
The game is scheduled to launch May 19th, 2015, on Xbox One, the all-in-one
games and entertainment system from Microsoft, Windows PC, and PlayStation®4.

Grand Theft Auto V has set a new
Steam record for peak
concurrent users by a game not developed by Valve, reports
GamesIndustry.biz. They say the game's peak yesterday of 300,452 concurrent
Steam users broke a record held by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which had
about 280K peak users upon release. This means today's total of 301,246 is also
a new record, though it's hard to say what this represents, since not all users
are playing the game through Steam. Thanks

This new video offers
a look at "chaos basic fouls," in Blood Bowl 2, the upcoming tackle
football meets Warhammer sequel. The clip shows how Chaos teams eschew other
football strategies in favor of maiming their opponents. Also: "This video shows
Blood Bowl 2's brand new graphics engine in action, but also reveals the
meticulous work done on Blood Bowl 2 by developer Cyanide to capture the
authentic Blood Bowl experience: the cheering of the ravenous fans filling the
huge stadiums to the brink, the animations, the dynamic cameras enhancing the
brutal atmosphere of the matches, the 'Cabalvision' identity and the hilarious
commenting duo, Jim Johnson and Bob Bifford. We also get a first look at the new
game's interface and much improved visual feedback, bringing a more modern,
fresher look to Blood Bowl while improving clarity and comprehension of the
action on the field. " Continue here to read the full story.
A new video developer diary
#5 for World of Warships shows off the Japanese fleet in Wargaming
multiplayer naval combat game that's currently undergoing closed beta testing.
Word is: "The new dev diaries will check out the Japanese fleet, discovering
what this nation’s Tech Tree has to offer and exploring how these vessels
stacked up against the might of the U.S. Navy. Viewers can get to grips with
Japan’s concept of qualitative superiority—outfitting vessels with as many guns
as possible—and the design ethos that made their warships perfect for aggressive
naval warfare." Continue here to read the full story.
2K Australia is shutting down, reports
Kotaku Australia, saying a source tells them the studio behind
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is closing entirely, and that all jobs there
will be lost. They have an official confirmation of the closure, though 2K says
it is exploring relocating some of the staff effected by this: We can
confirm we have taken steps to begin the studio closure process for 2K Australia
in order to better manage ongoing development costs while improving the working
proximity of our creative teams. We are very grateful for the team’s valuable
contributions to numerous 2K projects, and are working with affected staff to
explore reassignment opportunities where possible.
A new Inquisition DLC pack is now available for Tropico 5, and
Kalypso releasing this with no prior announcement seems part of a deliberate
plan to be able to say nobody expects the Tropico inquisition. They say the new
pack is available through the
Kalypso Launcher and Steam, but it's
not on Steam as of this writing, so the whole unexpected deal is literal in
that case. What does this involve? Inquiring minds want to know: On the
beautiful island of Tropico, it never rains; El Presidente insists on it. So
when the clouds roll in and the rain starts to fall you know something is on the
way. Rumours are that a group of citizens have united to form a mysterious cult
and have placed a curse over Tropico. A new supernatural authority is looking to
seize power and you, as El Presidente, need some divine assistance to lift the
curse. Enter, the ‘Inquisition’, the new DLC for Tropico 5 which is out today
for PC via Steam and the Kalypso Launcher.
Bring the special services provided by the Inquisition to Tropico and keep them
in good favour by building them a new HQ from which to bring down the cultists
and their supernatural wrongdoings. But don’t let them have too much power. Make
sure you remind them that only you, El Presidente, is the true ruler of Tropico.
Only through your careful management can you guarantee that Tropico returns to
the island paradise it was before.

One and PC!" Thanks

KOG Games announces Grand Chase has given up the chase, and the
MMORPG is now shut down. Here's word: We at KOG Games would like to
express our gratitude to you, dear players. A million thanks for giving Grand
Chase such an outstanding run. None of it would have been possible without your

goodbye. We love you all!

Just want to say hats off to the tied-for first place New York Mets. I'm pretty
sure nine games in is the latest in the season I've been able to say that for a
long time, so you can't blame me for thinking I should get this in now before the
bubble bursts.
