Publisher Nordic Games announces a deal with 2015 Games to acquire the rights to
Men of Valor, the military shooter set in the Vietnam War. The
announcement only mentions the original version of the game released in 2004,
and there's no word at this time about plans for any sort of remake or revival.
Here's the deal: Nordic Games announced today that it has closed an asset
purchase agreement with 2015 Games, LLC to acquire the intellectual property
“Men of Valor”.
The acquisition itself is being handled by Nordic Games Licensing AB, based in
Karlstad, Sweden, whereas the day-to-day business (sales and distribution,
evaluation of sequels & new content etc.) will be conducted by Nordic Games
GmbH, based in Vienna, Austria.
“With the addition of this IP, our shooter portfolio becomes enriched with a
real classic”, comments Reinhard Pollice, Business & Product Development
Director at Nordic Games. “It feels great to have a piece of FPS-history under
our umbrella. 2015 Games produced many talented developers, including the
founders of Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment amongst others, shaping the
first person shooter genre with their games.”
Well my Grand Theft Auto V PC preload experience continued to disappoint to the
very end, as the whole effort turned out to be for naught. Something went wrong
with the day one patch that left my installation hosed, and though the program
offers a repair option, that didn't work, so I had to uninstall the whole mess.
I started over from scratch and left the installer running overnight, but even
though I left it saying it would be done in around five hours, this morning it
wasn't even half done. That continues to chug along in the background, so I get
to enjoy a little suspense in wondering if this will work. For those who had a
smoother experience, there's a
Blue's News GTA
Online Crew that was formed for the previous-generation console versions
that you should join that if you are looking to play with fellow Bluesers, or
whatever it is we call ourselves.
