Jean-François Dugas has taken to Twitter
to answer questions about Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the upcoming
continuation of the shooter/RPG series. Along the way he says that while they
won't duplicate the throwback 1999 Mode from BioShock Infinite, there
will still be an old-school challenge, as
he tweets:
"We'll have the 'Give me Deus Ex' again. Not exactly like the 1999 mode but you
should expect a real challenge." He
also says
the entire game can be ghostable, including the boss battles. Finally, he also
retweets this
tweet offering
a free Deus Ex e-book. Thanks

"Running, Man" lays
claim to the title of "first video EVER made on GTA V's new PC video editor,"
showing off the power of the editor and the visuals of the Windows edition of
Grand Theft Auto V. This is the creation of 8-BIT BASTARD, who say: "We were
honored to be commissioned by Rockstar Games to make this kickass video, made
entirely using the new in-game editor. A lot of you guys have said you're
looking forward to seeing what we do with the GTA V PC editor, so hopefully you
enjoy our first video!" Thanks nin. Continue here to read the full story.

The recent version 2.2.0 patch for Diablo III did not address how Rift
Trials operate, though this system that requires continually requalifying for
trials is a system that many players of the action/RPG sequel wanted changed. A
forum
post by Blizzard community manager Tyvalir asks for patience, explaining
that Blizzard is still looking at ways to change this: In fact, Wyatt
mentioned during our last
Tavern Talk
that we've considered allowing you to earn multiple Trial keys at once (as one
possible solution). While we did not make changes to Trials in Patch 2.2.0, the
bottom line is that we recognize they can be improved, and we're weighing
different ideas for fixing them. In the meantime, we appreciate everyone's
patience as we develop a solid solution, and we'll be sure to share any updates
as soon as we have them.
GfK Chart-Track offers updated charts on game sales in the U.K. for the week
ending April 11th. On the
PC Top 30 chart things are pretty steady, with The Sims 4: Get to Work
remaining at number one, though Evolve plummets from number three to
number 16. Things are also stable on the
all-platforms top 40, where the new Battlefield game draws a hard line at
number one. Here's the
summary: EA’s ‘Battlefield Hardline’ (-56%) claims a 4th consecutive
crown as it stays just ahead of ‘FIFA 15’ (-8%).
With little in the way of new releases familiar faces jostle for position in the
Top 10 this week. ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (-39%) is down a place to No3 but remains
comfortably ahead of Ubisoft’s ‘Far Cry 4’ (-44%). ‘Call of Duty: Advanced
Warfare’ (-42%) is up one place to No5 pushing PS4 exclusive ‘Bloodborne’ (-58%)
down to No6. Both ‘Forza Horizon 2’ (-17%) at No7 and ‘Halo: The Master Chief
Collection’ (-33%) at No 9 climb into the Top 10 boosted by strong sales of
their respective Xbox One Hardware bundles.
Take2’s ‘Borderlands: The Handsome Collection’ (-56%) is sandwiched between the
two at No8 in its third week. ‘Minecraft: Xbox Edition’ (-37%) is also back in
the Top 10 after a one week absence. PQube’s motorbike racer ‘Ride’ (+81%) is
boosted by the addition of Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions propelling the title
31 places to No18 following its release at the end of March.
If Friday the 13th is bad, it seems to be Monday the 13th should be worse, no?
