DiRT 3 Collection "With 100% Less GFWL"

Steam News announces the release of the DiRT 3 Collection, a bundle of the rally racing game and all its DLC, now all ported to Steamworks, or as Codemasters puts it, "DiRT 3 is now available with 100% less Games for Windows Live." The bundle is on sale for 20% off, and is offered a free upgrade for all DiRT 3 owners, and they offer instructions on how to redeem a CD key with Steam for those who haven't already. Those who already have their GFWL edition registered on Steam will find they have both editions after the upgrade, and that saved games will not be compatible between the two. Word is:

Get DiRT 3 Complete Edition, the definitive edition of off-road racer DiRT 3 now expanded with extra content and enhanced with Steamworks integration, including Achievements, Leaderboards and Steam Cloud Saves.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void Beta Begins

Battle.net announces that beta testing of the Legacy of the Void expansion for StarCraft II, noting that this "includes a host of new units, abilities, gameplay changes, and more to check out," as described in this beta preview and multiplayer preview. They outline how this works for those who have prequalified for the beta by attending BlizzCon 2014 or the StarCraft II WCS 2014 Global Finals and also offer warnings of how to avoid phishing attempts with false beta keys. Here are some pertinent details from their FAQ:

Which game content will be available in the beta?
To start off, we will be focusing on the multiplayer experience only. We’ve added an exciting array of new units and abilities to the Terrans, Protoss, and Zerg, and we’d like to have as many eyes on them as possible. This testing will also include the upcoming Archon Mode. We will share information about future plans for the beta as we get closer to new content being released.

How long will the beta test last?
We have not determined an exact end date for the beta test. We will notify participants when the beta test is nearing completion.

Will Mac users be able to participate in the beta?
Yes, Mac users will be able to participate in the beta at the same time as Windows users.

Which regions and languages are supported in the beta?
The Legacy of the Void beta will be accessible in all regions except China, and the languages supported for the beta will reflect this.

Do I need StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty or StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm to participate in the beta?
No, you do not need to have purchased StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty or StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm to participate in the beta. With that said, your level of Heart of the Swarm activity may play a role in your chances of being selected as a beta tester.

Pillars of Eternity Patch to Fix Stats

Adam Brennecke tweets that the next patch for Pillars of Eternity should clear up most statistic bugs players are experiencing in Obsidian's new RPG. The brief message simply states: "The next patch for Pillars should be able to restore most of the stats bugs that people are encountering." Thanks nin.
