Street Fighter V in Spring 2016?

A Capcom Unity post apparently revealed a "next spring" release window for Street Fighter V, but the post about the upcoming brawler sequel no longer states when to expect a release. "Everyone is fired up for Street Fighter V, coming to PS4 and PC next Spring," is how the post read before it was edited, reports PCGamesN, while it now says: "Everyone is fired up for Street Fighter V coming to the PS4 and PC." There's no comment with this, so it's not clear if the date was removed because it was inaccurate, or if they just want to keep it under wraps.

Star Citizen Videos

The Roberts Space Industries website has a post Reintroducing the Aegis Retaliator in Star Citizen along with another article on a new damage system in the space combat game. These include videos, as we have an Aegis Retaliator Pre-Flight Check trailer and a New Damage Model trailer showing off what's being discussed. Here's more on the damage model:

So we took a top down look our damage system to review what we could improve, and although there is great satisfaction in peeling off each part of an enemy ship when they take major damage, we felt we could better represent the specific location and type of damage inflicted. Whether it be a projectile weapon, an energy weapon, an explosion or scratching your ship after a dodgy landing, we want you to be able to differentiate them just from looking at your ship. We felt this was going to be especially important in our game as we want each ship to tell a story of what’s is been through.

Europa Universalis IV International Women’s Day DLC

A Steam Community group announcement has word on a free new "Women in History" DLC pack being released today for Europa Universalis IV to celebrate International Women’s Day. Here's word:

To mark International Women’s Day (March 8th) Paradox Development Studio has created a free update for Europa Universalis IV, adding 100 great women of history to the game. Each character can be generated through event triggers (a weak regency, a colonial empire, certain ideas, etc.). Players will then have choices about how to use this talented woman. Some may join your court as advisors, some might be suitable for riskier employment as rulers or leaders.

Thomas Johansson, the head of Paradox Development Studio, says that this DLC does something important for the company’s flagship title. "It's no surprise that the role of women in history isn't as well known as that of men,” Johansson says. “Europa Universalis, admittedly, hasn't done a lot to foreground their contributions. We thought that International Women's Day was the best time to do a little bit to help balance the scales and introduce our audience to some very interesting people."

Out of the Blue

Well Daylight Saving Time began in these parts in the wee hours this morning, making for one fewer of those wee hours than normal. Nobody likes losing sleep, but the forecast says to expect sunset at 6:55 pm this evening, which I will appreciate. All-in-all, I'm calling it a win.
