Besiege is now available
on Steam as an early
access release, offering the chance to check out this in-progress siege warfare
game from Spiderling Studios (thanks Chris). Here's word on the game, which has
received very positive notices so far:
Besiege is a physics based
building game in which you construct medieval siege engines and lay waste to
immense fortresses and peaceful hamlets. Build a machine which can crush
windmills, wipe out battalions of brave soldiers and transport valuable
resources, defending your creation against cannons, archers and whatever else
the desperate enemies have at their disposal. Create a trundling behemoth, or
take clumsily to the skies, and cause carnage in fully destructible
environments. Ultimately, you must conquer every Kingdom by crippling their
castles and killing their men and livestock, in as creative or clinical a manner
as possible!
A update from a couple of days ago on
the Raptr website warns users to change their passwords (passwrds?) due to a
breach (thanks Mashiki). Here's word from CEO Dennis "Thresh" Fong:
User
names, email addresses, password hashes, and some first and last names may have
been accessed. This means that although the passwords are hashed, users with
weak passwords are vulnerable to unauthorized access. It's important to note
that our two-factor authentication system used for redeeming Raptr Reward Points
ensures that even if your Raptr account was among those compromised, the points
you've earned as a Raptr member are protected.
Although the potential risk to Raptr users is pretty minimal, we urge you to
access any accounts on other sites and services in which you use the same login
and password associated with your Raptr account and change the related
password(s) immediately.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Looking forward to the game, here's hoping it lives up
to its potential, as it's the last game for a long time. Please stay safe if you
are out and about tonight, as there will more impaired drivers out there to
endanger you than usual.
